Do you have any beginner pictures of the floor and putting the subfloor down? What did you use and did your rv have the wood planks in the dips. I am taking the carpet out and there are these pieces of the wood.

My wife and I have a Rialta as well and would love to do this to ours too! How did you get the seat bolts out behind the 2 front seats? We were worried that it would make the wood uneven! Would love to know how y’all did it!

Are you putting the seats back in? We did not. But honestly, that was three years and several projects ago - so I can’t swear that I remember the details. As far as we recall, we just took the bolts out when we took the seats out and then put the flooring down…

And guess I’m not really clear on the area you mean. The area directly behind the two front seats we just left carpeted. The wood floor started down at the dropoff. Hopefully that is at least a little helpful of an explanation. 😏

@@SailingLunaSea thank you for your response! Yes I am talking about the area behind the 2 front seats where your dresser is. I plan to leave the area where the battery’s are still carpet (the same as you). But, no we are not putting the seats back in. I took them out a while ago but left the bolts in. I haven’t tried to take the carpet out. I was in fear that the bolts would make the wood uneven because they raised up over the carpet. I just didn’t see the part where you took the bolts out so was just curious on if you had to lay anything under the wood to make it even/balanced. But my wife and I now see that is it possible and it doesn’t look too hard to do. Thank you for sharing and responding! Happy travelling!

What did you put down on the floor first before you laid anything? 1/8” wood? 1/4” plywood? 4in slats of wood?

Mark measured the ribs and then went to Hone Depot or somewhere and found something the same thickness. Then cut that into 1” strips.

I’m not understanding one inch slats? Was it panels of 1/4 sub floor?

Do you still have the seats? Or the cushions that go between them? My Rialta was missing those cushions when I bought it :(
