@spencerr23233 жыл бұрын
Dude was a straight monster, I remember one of the red wings players being interviewed, maybe Draper? But he said it felt like he was hit by a train when Forsberg hit him.
@MrClebophd3 жыл бұрын
Agreed! He was one of a kind. Until him, we had never seen a player be that physical and skilled in combination. I mean, he could tackle an opponent to take the puck, reverse hit another and then send a perfect pass. Incredible, and very rare today. Also, only the fans, coaches and players of the opposing teams know how good a player someone is. They know by remembering how much fear and respect the player commanded.

Love the Datsyuk highlights. The dude was an absolute magician with the puck on his stick, but he could also carry his own in a fight (as seen against Corey Perry) and shrug off checks. He might not have ever played for my favorite team (Coyotes), but he was easily my most favorite player.
@anonymousrex52074 жыл бұрын
the Coyotes did own the rights to Datsyuk for a few years when he was playing in Russia, even though he never played a game for the team.

These kinds of hits are my favorite because there's almost no way they can be cheap, unless a guy puts hit stick up for a cross-check to the teeth. It's just a great way to show why keeping your head up is important. Thanks Jens for cranking these out so often lately!

Ah, the bizarre physics of the reverse hit. It's like when someone gives you "air" when you're jumping on a trampoline together.
@Atlas5314 жыл бұрын
Some of these seem physically impossible, but I think the common element in most of them is the supposed hitter mis-times the shifting of their weight and is actually off-balance at the moment of impact. Some of them are because they gave up on the hit or the guy supposedly getting hit moves into the hit first or plants their feet at just the right moment. All of them are pretty funny. Thanks for putting these together - I can't imagine how long this would take just to find all these clips.
