Joseph is a very talented actor, despite playing a character, he was able to make us feel a lot of emotions. Nina has played many characters and we didn't even realize they were all played by the same person, likewise Paul Wesley. The actors of this series are all very talented. I love them 😍

This is the episode that 'The Originals' branches from!!! I much prefer the originals over the vampire diaries the story is much more beautiful in my eyes. Vampire diaries is romance and friendship and the originals is family and its incredible.

I still find it amazing how the biggest badest vampire that everyone was afraid of in the beginning is now “friends” with the main crew. And has a soft spot for Caroline. Like just imagine how great that has to feel for them. Same with Rebekah being “friends” with all of them and having a soft spot for Matt where he isn’t afraid to tell her the truth knowing she won’t hurt him

I liked Matt a lot, I don’t understand the hate he received. He’s such an important character, and people don’t even see why. You need a character who’s not supernatural that you can relate to. Who has human problems. Parents gone at the beginning of the show, taking care of his sister by himself. Working to pay bills and shit. Then vampires ruined his life somewhat and people blame him for wanting to protect himself as a human.
