Yeah this movie was awesome no question about it especially if it's John Woo directing. Fun fact is that before Travolta and Cage accepted the lead roles they were offered to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Stallone but they turned them down. Just imagine how brutally awesome that would've been to have two heavy 80s and 90s action stars going head to head.
@nekonebitan29122 жыл бұрын
@Blia Yang bruh what did you say? Nicolas Cage can act, IMO he's one of the best actors out there and it shows when the script is good. He had to act in bad movies because he had financial problems but when he's in good movies no mather the lead or side cast he's a stand out from everyone. Also Travolta, he doesn't seem to care anymore but back in his prime he was amazing

I agree, I've seen this movie many times and love the whole storyline, you did make that explanation too confusing

@0:52-1:01 "Until Nicolas Cage goes into what we call the greatest plot device that leads to anything ever. That's right, a coma! You can do anything with a coma, especially in the 90's." That moment when you realize Hideo Kojima used Face/Off for inspiration for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Can we give some love to Gina Gershon, she's fantastic in this movie as a protective Mom who can shoot a gun?

Yeah! She was great too.

See, I hear Gina Gershon and think of Gina Gerson. It's not a bad thing.

Gina Gershon is awesome. She was the best part of Showgirls, since she was the only actor in the movie who realized how silly it was. Everyone else acted like they were in Citizen Kane or The Godfather.

@@KevinCarney91 Never seen it mate. Seen plenty of Gina Gerson movies though.

@@gregoreisenhorn5093 you seen Driven? Stallone made that movie. If you sat through that you definitely like Gina. 🙂

Thanks for digging up this gem. I think it belongs in special category (with Groundhog Day, RoboCop, Jurassic Park, Nightmare Before Christmas, etc.) of rare movies with a unique, high-concept, and kinda goofy premise that it fully explores and makes worthwhile.

This movie is so good. The performances are great. The direction is great. Even the script and editing are pretty good. Character development is amazing. And the action. Classic Woo. That boat chase is one of my favourite chases of all time. So much goddamned fun

I don't mention enough that I love your Quarantine content. I'd rather hear you talk about an old movie you love than some random movie coming out this week that I'll never care to watch =D

You should review the rush hour trilogy Jeremy
