Chris "Please, accept me Hollywood elite" Stuckmann. But seriously, the fact he doesn't want to criticise bad movies means he doesn't have any confidence on his own movie, either so he's thinking if his movie turns out to be bad, Hollywood will give him some grace.
@jonascastejon588811 ай бұрын
@@everythingisawesome2903his whole "I don't want to 'bash' directors and artists" felt hypocritical, he doesn't do it out selfless but rather selfish reasons because he has a vested interest in apparently making it "big" in Hollywood so he doesn't want to "burn bridges" 🤡 All he did was to come across as pathetic apologist for bad filmmaking just to ingratiate himself to people who will never give a crap about him or even know of his existence at all. Like Nerdrotic said, he has no chance of ever rubbing elbows with Hollywood's elite, no matter what.

What's funny about the Raul Julia comparison, if they had kept the comic character design, that of crazed, shoeless, homeless guy in a tattered 3 piece suit, the character would have been the PERFECT vehicle for a theater trained actor to come in and just chew the scenery to bits. There was a point in time where I really thought Spider-Man would be treated better in the Marvel Cinematic Universe than he (and his world) is with Sony Pictures. At this point I don't know WHO would treat him (and his world) worse.
@donazard888411 ай бұрын
I'd say he definitely is being treated better in the MCU. The problem is that Sony are trying to make all these spin-off Spider-Man movies that aren't interesting people unless Spider-Man's in it and they can't use Spider-Man if he's in a different universe, unless you wanna do another multiverse movie but they shouldn't. They've already done it with No Way Home, people don't wanna see another one especially if this time it's with the Sony characters that a lot of people don't care about.
@AceHufflepuff11 ай бұрын
@@donazard8884 I feel like the Spider-Man MCU films are an anomaly. Especially No Way Home cause it along with Shang-Chi were the ONLY stunning films of phase 4. Wakanda Forever I'd say is great but not AMAZING. I'm just nervous about Marvel at this moment cause they NEED a banger and I hope Deadpool is it. I wouldn't want to see a Spider-Man in college trilogy with new villains UNLESS I knew for a FACT that Marvel can make good content CONSISTENTLY.

Every time I see or hear any mention of Madame Web, I think of the 90's Spider-Man cartoon. I prefer that version outside of the comics. She was also voiced by Stan Lee's wife, so there's that...

Honestly, Jamie Lee Curtis would've made a great, more comics-accurate Madam Web. But everyone needs to be young for more of that all-audiences appeal and multi-film franchise potential. And really, Sony needs to just give up and let Marvel Studios make their "Spider-Man without Spider-Man" movies, because then Spider-Man can actually be in them and interact with these characters who are largely just supporting players in Spider-Man's orbit. It's like how Warner Bros. just kept pumping out Batman TV shows without Batman in them. It's really just a studio beating around the bush without coming out and saying what we're all thinking - these characters just aren't as interesting without the main character around.

It's funny given how much movies are desperate to push supposedly marginalised or minority characters and yet... old age? Nooo that's just not sexy or trendy enough.

Sony has an entire arsenal and inventory of what movies they can make involving Spider-Man characters yet they always choose the weirdest routes. The concept for this is good on paper but so far from what we've seen it's looking like an Arrowverse TV show.
