I'm only 5' tall (and a 6'6" counterpart-haha!) so this really appealed to me Linda! It turned out beautiful. Opened up the whole area! Having it all level is a godsend to short ladies handling large or small bowls of hot food (or coffee or tea)! Less chance to bobble and have a huge mess or injury! The bathroom also looks great! It's a much more clean look for coordinating accessories! Congratulations on such a wonderful remodel by Rafael! Total professionalism in tear down and install!! 😁 I was just reading up on quartz vs granite and was amazed at all the much better quality in having quartz!! Quartz is the most sanitary! The countertop will never harbor bacteria or viruses in its pores! It's also, low-maintenance, as in, it doesn’t need much work (like sealing) to keep in good condition! It's also very durable, because it's harder than granite and it's chip and scratch resistant. The only thing the quartz is not superior in like its competitors is the heat-resistance; if you put a hot pan on it, the sudden heat may cause a crack on the surface - so always use a hot pad instead!!

I made sure to build a 3’ x 5’ island in my kitchen when remodeling my home. Never regretted it as it serves so many activities from cookie making, use for buffet meals to fabric cutting table. It is in my great room consisting of kitchen, dining and living room and is the center of that area.

I just love all of the changes, so clean looking. I had a bump up in my kitchen and when I went to one level I just love it. It is so easy to clean and the food goes right in the sink when wiping the counters because of the undermount sink. We use our counter more now for eating because it is so easy to sit at and get up. Great job to the both of you, just beautiful.

I like the two levels better than one because it gives some separation AND I like the outlets for small appliances that are tucked underneath. However, it’s lovely and I hope you enjoy it.

We have the touch faucet and in the beginning we loved it. After about 8 years it began to fail. Now, shuts off in the middle of me doing dishes and I keep having to turn it back on. We’ve switched out the batteries multiple times. It was very expensive. I would not purchase another one for this reason. However, they are great while they work!

That was amazing ….. and, looks amazing! I have the same setup you had originally. I love the high counter, though, because I love standing at a counter and using it for various things, not kitchen related. Of course, that means it can get messy - that’s the down side. You definitely made the right decision for you with all those little adorable grand babies. The bathroom and laundry room look fabulous and modern. Love Raphael! He will be who I call if I need something like that and for flooring in the future. Enjoy those upgrades❣️

It looks nice! I have electric outlets x 2 under my overhang on the island. I love it because I can plug in crockpots for entertaining guests. I personally wouldn’t go with a small laundry sink because I shampoo my dog in mine. I hope you don’t mind the small one.
