Got mine and it's gorgeous even with the screw holes and all, I love it. It's gorgeous lit up. I'm so mad it only stays lit for like less than 20 secs. It's torture because it looks so cool lit up

I agree. Too bad it doesn't have the feature that Diamond Select has. If you hold the bridge down for three seconds, the ship lights stay on. Maybe someday playmates will add that feature.

I've watched several of your videos and enjoyed them, and I wish I would have gone ahead and paid the extra $$$$ for the HD version of the Diamond Select model that I've finally seen, though a little too late. It has even more detail and pulsating nacelle thingies lol. But first Jerry let me say, hey Playmates!!! You might be responsible for my future electrocution because someone on your USS Enterprise team makes bad "20 seconds of lights" choices! So, here's how that could happen... I'm not a model making person because of ADHD and heavy hands. This is the first model-type item I've ever purchased, and my first Star Trek memorabilia item. I love her and I want her for why I bought her...to be displayed with her lights on, at least at night. So.... I think I've made a very unwise decision to turn this beauty into a plug-in, constantly lit display model, yet I have no experience at all and no business venturing into this territory. At least I won't have to paint anything. But I have been watching videos on how to hack LED circuits lol. I haven't learned a thing! But I have found battery to plug-in converters on Amazon that have these super thin ribbons on dummy batteries that easily come out of battery compartments to a power supply without doing any rigging. You can still fit the battery cover on and put her back on her wobbly stand. This will solve the battery issue as long as I get the watts, or maybe it's the volts matched, oh gawd. Now those unsightly, but soon-to-be handy, screw holes everyone hates might be there just for my reckless curiosity, which usually leads to disaster🤣🤣🤣 I will try to be careful and not force anything apart, coughs. I have to try! Gotta do it while replacements are still fairly affordable...and I have a feeling I'll be needing a replacement🤪🤷‍♂ Fingers crossed!

@@bradleylemna9300 Thank you for the kind words. I am glad you enjoy my videos. I very much enjoy sharing my passions. Yes, that can be tricky. If your not careful, you can burn out the circuit board in the model trying to convert it to DC current. You must make sure the voltage and amperage are within tolerance for the circuit board. You can always check eBay for the HD Enterprise. Best of luck my friend. =-)

@@TrekFanNCC-1701 I'd hate to ruin her and it's inevitable I will if I try a stunt like that. She's a beauty! Which is why it's good I discovered the Hallmark Enterprise Tree Topper 🤣and ordered it today from Amazon for $98! It plugs in and stays on and has a lit-up stand with spotlights. Boom! Sounds like what I was hoping for all along. I can put the Playmates in another room where she can sit dark and alone but still represent the most iconic and beautiful ships in the franchise! I know it's your favorite, too! You have superb taste in starships.

Just picked this up today at my local Target. I recognize it from your video and grabbed it. After watching your reviews I got on eBay and picked up the diamond select Enterprise D, awesome channel and it’s getting me back into collecting Star Trek ships.

Yours has a couple different sounds than mine. One difference is the alert sound.

Its a really gorgeous model, but the use of stickers on the nacelles and secondary hull is disappointing when compared to the DST versions. Love the LED lights though :-)

I have to say my enterprise doesn't have that other red alert sound. Mine only has the 1 from the show. I also don't remember the warp drive sounding like the sound they used but I love the ship.

Maybe yours needs to be in play mode? There is a switch that has a demo mode and off. If the switch is in play mode, everything should work.

Interesting. Yours must be the Canadian release. The American version doesn’t have the three different red alert fx on the second button. Instead we have three or four quotes from Shatner as Kirk from “Elaan Of Troyius”. I wonder why the change?
