I went on after a terrible comic once. I was 10 minutes into my set and they were still booing him.

I have to watch more of these. You have helped my stand up so much. That eye-brow thing you taught about. Raise the bridge. So true

Before massive audience, many stand up comedians here in East Africa, love and apply the techniques learnt through the videos of the joke doctor. Thanks to Jerry Corley.

Jerry, I think you have great material! Very interesting and engaging in terms of teaching style. Just a suggestion because it looks like you havent already. I would put your stuff on Udemy also because it would be an additional place for people to find your content.

Awesome videos Jerry. I would love to hear your insight as to the conversion of stand up to situational comedy. I’ve read all the Seinfeld scripts and as a budding writer and huge fan of comedy I would love to know more about the conversion tools used. Basically: What thought processes allowed Larry David, Jerry, and the writers to take a 1-paragraph bit and make a whole 30 minutes out of it? Hope I worded that somewhat correctly. Much love from the ATL

can you do impressions and jokes in the same set?
@JerryCorley2 жыл бұрын
Sure! It’s all in how you frame it. In a stand-up set it’s just like doing an act-out. Watch Bill Burr’s latest special at Red Rocks. He drops in an impression of Sean Connery, then goes right back into his bit.
