I suddenly remembered the time EXO were interviewed by JYP and asked fans if EXO can have relationships and they said NO.. That's one of the most hurtful thing an idol can hear from their fans. Artists are not objects to be owned by anyone just for the fact that you buy their albums / merchandise or attend their fansigns or concerts. I feel like Korean fans see "being a fan" as a relationship of some kind with the idols. I mean that's how korean media portrayed it at least. For north american is understood that fan/celebrity relationship is a one way street but I feel like in korea the lines are blurred. I'd say for us, because the American media is based on dating and seeing the artist grow from boys to men it's only natural that were happy to see that Chen is growing up and becoming a man. Meanwhile in Korea, companies paint the fans and sometimes even the idols that they are each others life and they should only be invested in that, by doing this companies get fans that are more committed and long-lasting because they make the fan feel like there is no line separating them and their idol. The behavior is highly toxic but we can't do anything about it unfortunately.

If I were to look at this without any real emotions, I would think that the best possible choice would be for Chen to leave EXO and the KPOP industry itself in order to avoid these fans and so that he can live his life with his family. HOWEVER, any human can see that Chen deserves the utmost support for him and his family since it is his choice and his life. I shared yep4andy's video with my friends (plz watch it) cause I'm not in twitter and for that most of my friends even though EXO is not their fav. group, they helped me. That's the behavior of a true EXOL. This is also broke my heart. But when one of my friend told me this news with her opinion, I feel ashamed for worried about it. Think about it. Chen is soooo lucky to have a girlfriend like that. She didn't tell to media that she was pregnant from an idol, from Chen. How hard can it be to her. Im sooooo happy cause their bond is so strong that they protect each others feelings, happiness. This is my message for true EXO Ls, Finally one of our PETERPAN finds his WENDY. But remember we are always be their TINKERBELLS. We are one. We are EXO. We are EXOLs.
