Don't pull those tabs up; pull them along the plane of the phone, by lifting as slowly as possible. Also, once you put some tension on the tab, just hold it there until the tension slowly releases and then pull out more. You have to give the adhesive some time to release before pulling more.

Can someone explain why the sensor shift technology is inherently faster? The only reason Zach gives is because it happens at the picture collection point. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me as a reason. What is the bottleneck between the two methods. Is the difference literally just the trace lengths on the pcb? I thought the reason why sensor shift technology is such a big deal for DSLRs is because it has changeable lenses, thus you can buy less expensive lenses that don't have optical image stabilization and still have image stabilization?

The mass of the sensor is probably less than the mass of the lens, so moving just the sensor faster is probably easier/less power

Photographer here, it’s more stable overall. The image stabilization would be inconsistent and unstable if it relied only on the lenses on a DSLR. It’s a much faster way to stabilize the image, and it’s beyond what a lenses and stable hand can do. It’s a MAJOR help and that’s without a tripod
