This is the place where The holy Virgin lived with the disciple John after Jesus gave Him Mary as his own Mother. When Her time to leave this world and meet Her Son came, She knew and She started to change. When John noticed, She told him that Her departure is at hand. John was so sad. He prepared the bed for Her in the middle of the room, She laid down on it and went into a deep sleep, Her face changed and became colorless but always peaceful and young. John went to the garden around the house and started to collect flowers and olive branches which he spread them around Her on the bed and all around the room. He kept doing that for 3 days then sat on the floor beside Mary's bed, crying in sadness then fell asleep. The angels of the Lord came down, opened the ceiling of the room and lift the holy Virgin up to the skies, John woke up when he felt the wind blows and the ceiling opened and saw the Virgin carried away by the angels. Her dress was blown by the wind as if She's waving for him a last goodbye. John was ecstatic from what he witnessed, God gave him the grace to witness the Assumption of The Virgin body and soul into a heavenly glory. Maria Valtorta.

Who can really say/prove that one's religion or religious beliefs are the true and the correct ones?If there is one among people belonging to different religions died and came back and declared he/she was saved or went to heaven bcoz he/she believed and followed/obeyed everything written in the Bible or that bcoz he/she was a Catholic, or a Protestant, or an Inc, or a Jehovah's witness, or a Buddhist or a Muslim, etc.; then perhaps that someone might be telling the truth. There was a beautiful mosaic of "Our Lady of Guadalupe" and which is how our mother appeared in mexico. It was our mother. I so appreciate that you gave us this tour. I wish we could have had a closer look at that Mosaic. When our mothers image was cast upon Juan Diego's cloak you can see his image in her eyes in the original cloth image. She was really there. That is why that image of "Our Lady of Guadalupe" is so important.

It seems to me we visited this church and this shrine. We can also see the renovations that were done as a result of Vatican II. That would be the little stone "altars" away from the wall. But they had to leave the other little altars around the walls with the mosaics. They were designed for the Roman Mass with the priest facing liturgical east. Hopefully some day these will be restored. Thank you.
