FYI We had people cutting through and kicking down a board fence at the doctor's office where I worked. The only way I could stop them (and stop buying new fence boards) was to plant a row of thorny rose bushes in front of the fence so they couldn't even get close to it. Good luck. Love from London, ON 🇨🇦

I just wanted to comment and say I just love how you load up all the kids and go to the store to get the wood and I thought you cutting the wood in the parking lot was awesome. Loved how that guy took a double take seeing you cut the wood. Just awesome that you were very well equipped with such great life skills, even though you are a woman. I have no idea how to do anything like that, my husband does those things. I just think it's so neat you can do all of that. 👏🏻❤️ And its so wonderful that your siblings come and help out.

From a garden center manager who enjoys following you: Your ferns would be happy in LOTS of shade... you might move them so that they are under the porch, but a sun-loving plant would perform much better (lantana is heat and drought tolerant and is very colorful). The ferns would be much happier out under the pines. It is almost impossible to overwater as the pots have a drain hole in the bottom. Daily water is a must, and twice daily is even better if it is hot AND windy. Keep up the good work !!

I can't advocate a Duggar having a dog, unless they learn how to care for it properly. On the show there were neglected animals, I distinctly remember dogs and cats being shown a few times and never again. They were never allowed in the house no matter how cold it got. Yes, NW Arkansas can get to cold at night to have animals out.

Wow! You and your family are certainly “can do” kind of people! Thanks for sharing! May God continue to bless you richly.

Jessa, I love how you let your kids go barefoot outside. I did, too, as a child, and I still do as an adult. There's nothing like feeling fresh grass in between your toes.

I grew up on a gravel road and went barefoot. I had serious calluses until I moved out of the area.

I cannot believe people would pull your fence apart . A dog would stop that. I can't wait to meet your baby. God bless everyone 🙏 ❤

What a beautiful backyard!! And you’re right, two acres is a dream backyard for any family with kids! Plenty of room for them to run and play out all their energy.:) Great job on all of those projects too, Jessa! I said, Oh Mylanta, when you started to saw that board right there in the parking lot! Haha! But you did great, and the shelves look amazing too.:) God Bless!🙏🏼🍁🌻

Regarding your fern plants, ferns only like indirect or filtered light. Or even a light room. You're quite an amazing young woman you seem to do it all. Good for you and your family, great learning experience for your kids

What a joy to have you catch us up with all that you and your beautiful family have been doing! Your yard and back deck came out beautifully. You are a woman after my own heart. I've never been one to shy away from doing carpentry and a host of home improvements in my younger years. Now my health "challenges" have had me housebound and recliner/bedbound for the past 9 years because any activity worsens my ME/CFS. I truly cherish my memories of my younger years. I'm also thankful that I have survived many health crisis events to keep on living. God isn't done with me yet. I just celebrated my 69th birthday, which is a huge blessing. I really want to live to benefit from the treatments and a cure for ME/CFS that we've been praying for to happen in my lifetime. Please add that to your prayers. With prayers, love, and gentle hugs for you and yours......from Donna in Florida.
