I just watched the updated version of his trip to Heaven and it was filled with things like Jesus personally built the table in his mansion and some decoration of two eagles also built personally for him by Jesus. David praised him as a musician and Paul told him he was a good preacher and everyone kept telling him how good of a job he was doing. Jesse is so special, or so he says, that he basically makes it clear that he is like Adam bc he is one of the only other humans to witness God and live. He does it all in a way to appear like he's being humble that he was chosen for such a task.

Yesterday I watched a video by Jesse called "What Christianity Means To Me"... I wanted to see how he presents the gospel. There was not one mention of man's lost, fallen nature, forgiveness of sins, the atoning sacrifice of Jesus or our need for a savior. The closest he came was saying "Jesus came to show us how to live". I don't know why but this has deeply disturbed me. Theresa, I sometimes have a problem with that same issue, but Jesus teaching about the seed the sower sowed that landed on different kinds of soil and resulted in different kinds of fruit or lack of fruit, mentions those that had fallen among weeds and thorns. These did well for a season, but the cares of life and the deceitfulness of riches chocked the word that was in their hearts. These dear brothers and sisters need our love and prayers for them to return to their first love! But remember that the blessings of God includes a healthy mind, body, and prosperity! Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, King David, and King Solomon who was the richest of, were all very rich men, they were probably billionaires!!!

I used to attend a “church” in Las Vegas and it occurred to me that the “pastor” never preached about Satan. I asked him about this and he told me that he didn’t want to offend anyone..😳 He also told a lesbian couple that it was ok to marry because one had a job with excellent benefits and the other one, unemployed, had medical issues and required surgery. He said they should have separate bedrooms. He also took collections multiple times, sometimes, when he claimed they didn’t receive enough. I was stunned and sickened by this. I left. Do these false “preachers” not realize they will be held to a higher standard than the rest of us?! I am sickened by the number of antichrists leading the masses straight to hell. It saddens and enrages me. Why don’t others see how wrong this is!? Sometimes it’s hard for me to think about this without feeling rage. It’s a big struggle for me..

About 13-14 years ago I was a member of Hillsong as my church had switched over. I did not last long once that happened. Anyway, Jesse was in Sydney for the Hillsong conference. He spoke at the Hillsong main Church and we were bussed there. He told the story of a visit to heaven. This time he said he had been having a meal at his home with a friend. In the middle of the meal God called him into the bedroom and whisked him to Heaven. He never mentioned what the friend thought of his disappearance. It's amazing that he changes the story every time he wants to impress. At the time I believed him. Thanks be to God I escaped from those lies and organizations. Pastors like Justin do a great service to open peoples' eyes to the deceptions.

Although I came to Christ in 1984, it was through a local TV minister. I remember all of these prosperity gospel preachers. I asked God to prosper me. Which He didn't the way they said He would. So being young at the time, I thought maybe God doesn't think I'm worth paying attention to. Ironically I was at work living in a camper in the mountains. I was a timber cutter. That is super hard work if there was any. So I started having doubts about God giving us money. And I was right. Eventually I started searching for truth and reading the Bible. It has been hard since then. But I love God and Jesus my Lord. Rralizing that it us because of His mercy and Grace that I live and move and have my being. I actually had the book that described his “going to heaven.” At the time, I never heard of Jesse Deplantis, so I had no idea who he was or what doctrine he taught. I remember opening up random pages and reading them trying to discern what the doctrine was. Here’s what I got: (1) when he was in “heaven” he was talking to someone (I think it was David, though not 100% sure) and Jesse is describing how he looked over and saw mansions in distance and he said “what are those?” And David (?) said “oh those are mansions” “I can have a mansion in heaven?” “Sure, you can have whatever you desire.” This is just a paraphrase, but I thought it was a red flag, and then the breaking point was when Jesse Deplantis said in his book…”there is nothing good about the Old Testament.” Is God prophesying of a saviour all the way back in Gen. 3 not good? What about bringing the Israelites out of slavery? Or the books of wisdom? Are these things not good? And those 3 examples don’t even begin to scratch the surface of God’s goodness in the OT

Justin thank you for bringing this to the light, several years ago my husband and I were very much into the Jesse Duplantis ministry, and yes we got blindsided by the “going to heaven movie” it really played on one’s emotions and I am sorry to say that we were deceived into believing it, and it wasent till recent years that I began to scrutinize and doubt his experience, and I told my husband that why did Jesus supposedly say that it would be his tears that would be wiped away, that is not what the Bible says, but that He would wipe away our tears, why would God change what he had said in the Bible, not only that, the Bible says that no man has seen God at any time, yet he saw Jesus, and we won’t have that privilege till the rapture, when we see him face to face 😮 ✝️🙏

Paul spends three chapters on the misuse of the sign gifts, and many of the same abuses are committed today by those who claim to exercise tongues. 1 Corinthians 13:8-10: “Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.” In the KJV, the tongues “will cease.” In other words, at some point after Paul wrote 1 Corinthians, the gift of tongues would no longer be in use. (Yes, I believe the Apostle Paul, where this is written in the bible.)

His story changed. He came to our church back then and he said he was in his car when he went into a bright cloud and came out on the other side where he then had his vision (supposedly). Everyone could tell he was lying but no one was bold enough to say anything. I was laughing inside while he spun his tale. It was a Word of Faith church but I had not yet awakened from the charismatic craziness. It wasn't long before I did wake up though and I burned all of Jesse's videos as well as Benny Hinn, Mike Murdoch, Kenneth Copeland et al.
