There were definitely signs. The fact he considered gay lust a huge temptation. The fact he was never married and never seemed to want to be. The obsession over radical homosexuals, to the point that he might as well just admit that he is attracted to them. The people who are talking the most about gay people are, surprise surprise, other gay people, myself included

Um. Don't judge single people. I'm not married. There was only 1 person I WANTED to marry passed away. Other than him I (before & after) couldn't care less about marriage. I'm straight. I want ALL people to leave out single status when they think they've figured out something....nothing has been figured out. Simply, single people exist nothing more or less to it.

I think his use of the term “radical homosexuals” is his way of differentiating them from himself, a “non-radical” (aka hidden/closeted) homosexual. Subconsciously the language we use ends up revealing more about us than we realize and his use of that term is him actually admitting he is a homosexual…just not the radical kind who goes to marches and publicly defends homosexuality.

I remember him interviewing Ray Comfort, and ending up feeling sorry for Banana Man as Jesse appeared to claim that Ray's wife was an untrustworthy liar that consorted with the Devil. My ex was gay but he grew up getting beat for not being manly enough, so he dated women and abused them to make himself "not gay" and if I would try to confront him about possibly being gay and telling him I wouldn't judge him he was he would beat me, so it's possibly his upbringing. I am not surprised at all. He always came across like he was hiding something to me. I always assumed that he had been abused by his mother, and that was why he was so hateful towards women. I realize now that he’s angry at women because there was probably an expectation for him to conform a societal standard and marry a woman when he didn’t want to. He knew deep down he didn’t meet the expectations. I feel sorry for him, and I’m equally excited that he doesn’t have a platform to hurl hateful and oppressive comments at women anymore.

Saw an old video of Jesse debating in which he all but admitted to being abandoned by his father and neglected by his mother. It was sad to listen to, especially because he kept insisting this was something everyone went through and therefore everyone should forgive their mothers like he had to do. From the same debate when asked about his relationship with his father he said he had a great relationship with him only to elaborate that he was dead. I honestly think Jesse is a deeply hurt and scared individual who simply cannot find a healthy way to deal with his hardships and his own identity.

That's why he kept saying "radical homosexual"! It's a psychological coping mechanism. It's like he's saying to himself: "I'm may be gay but at least I'm not a *radical* homosexual like those other homosexuals are". It's his way of disassociating himself from other homosexuals so he can feel better about himself and not feel like a hypocrite. It's the psychological tactic of making others out to be worse than yourself so you can have some solace in spite of your own bad.

@@HaidebugCreates I think this is a really tough topic, it’s not that I think people can be as hateful as they want as long as they’re LGBTQ+, but I kind of get how poor mental health, a queerphobic environment and general lack of well-being (e. g. poor financial security) can lead to people behaving like this in public. I don’t know if it’s entirely these people‘s fault. I was really hateful, like downright nazi-tier when I was at my worst, and I feel really bad about it now and try to fight oppression and help people whenever possible. Like I said, I think it depends on personal circumstances. Not trying to defend or excuse JLP‘s behavior here! I’m just saying that there’s a tragic side to it when people get stuck in self-hating cycles and lack the resources or self-reflection to overcome them. I wish there was a way to help them. I myself only got better after hospitalization following a total mental breakdown. I think it may be harder to ever reach that point if you were socialized as a man, because the stigmatization of mental illness and perceived weakness in men is even more prevalent… but that’s just my two cents, I’m not trying to invalidate your experience or say he has it harder than you. I hope you can get better. Please always take care of yourself, because if you ever reach that point of not caring about yourself, you’ll eventually harm others around you…

It sounds like Peterson's encounters with those men bordered on assault or at least were questionably consensual due to the power differences you mentioned. That should be the issue. If it were the case that Peterson was spewing that kind of poisonous rhetoric while engaged in wholly consensual gay sexual relations, then I'd agree that the hypocrisy is the biggest issue. And I would agree that it is sad that he feels he needs to pretend to be someone he's not in order to be accepted. I would be thrilled if someone like that could turn it around and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. But that isn't what happened. He forced himself on men, often men who worked for him and used his power and cult like status to take advantage of them for pleasure. I don't think someone like that should be any kind of rights advocate. I also agree that these men shouldn't be closing rank around religions and other institutions that cover up these abuses while condemning healthy same sex relationships. They should be telling their stories for their own sakes and picking up a certain hastag. It's not just for women anymore.... or shouldn't be.

Hm, you touched on some important aspects here but I feel like, probably because you're trying to get by with KZbin being the way it is, the focus was a little off in this video. I saw somebody else say that the title and thumbnail focus too much on the gay and that can be uncomfortable for people in the community as it makes it a spectacle, and I agree a little but I also see that when it's an openly homophobic person, the contrast is going to garner attention. What I truly think you could improve, and perhaps with a follow up video, is the focus on whether some of those men were indeed victims. You touched on the power imbalance, and the documentary called somebody a victim (though I fear they may mean victim as "being tempted into homosexuality"), but I think when the world struggles so much to call sexual abuse and rape what it is when MEN are the victims, it is really important to be very clear here, be that clearly saying they see themselves as victims/survivors, or saying it is unclear but keep in mind they could be. Like I said, you mentioned power imbalance, but I think that alone doesn't suffice, people might interpret it as a grey area of consent, when there shouldn't be such a thing. I don't know, maybe you could elaborate and or change the title ? You know, focus less on gay, more on this may not have been consensual.

You're an intelligent girl, no doubt - still - thinking in complex manners does not always denote clear thinking. Information in, information out system is how the neo cortex functions, but our subconscious mind is impregnated before we even have a chance to assume that we create our beliefs, or our habits. It never occurs to our ego to assume "my mind is not my own" "I didn't initiate these thoughts" - "why do all my friends/ social groups agree". Everyone on the "left" (left has been overtaken by a specific ideology so is not the authentic left anymore) thinks that those on the right are ignorant/racist and raised to be that way, or just stupid/uneducated or worse case pure evil. Everyone on the "right" (a misnomer because it doesn't actually exist anymore and references a much older set of beliefs before even the "french" revolution") thinks that everyone on the left are pussies, brainwashed, lazy/ignorant, don't have jobs, or worst case are pure evil. See a correlation here? Both sides ultimately take this political distinction AS RELIGION - it becomes the NEW religion to simply hate the peasants, or hate the aristocracy, ignoring those who actually inject BOTH beliefs structures into you. Can you describe to me the moment when you chose your beliefs?? Can you describe moments where you thought one way, and now think another - or has it always doubled down upon itself? How often do either side actually engage with the other with honest inquiry and not a spirit of "lets see how stupid these idiots are" when investigating? I was a average leftist (like honestly pretty much all young people are) for 27-32 years. Please read about what I changed - or don't, it's your time :) I have a well read copy of das capitol, read into all the style of the time of leftist ideologues who just seemed to be "intellectuals" of our age - who seemed to be challenging the status quo. Timothy Leary and all the surrounding cronies, Beat poets, Dadaism, Robert Anton Wilson, Various philosophers, and many university discourses which eventually I started to find out, all had the same teachers, read the same books- had the same influence stemming from the "cultural revolution of the 60's" (which eventually you discover was not organic in any way.) I was fully on board with what I discovered to be marxist doctrine - and marx himself as well as Lenin said that their goal was an international perpetual cultural revolution - yet everyone believes that it's just a system of economic central control. This is because they don't bother to actually investigate the horrors of how these regimes come to power, how they are funded (by huge international bank institutions), and actually read what they themselves state. Just pick up some of the founders and initial supporters wrote themselves - then see the connection between how later post-modernist philosophers blended those beliefs with deconstructionist rhetoric and bam you have the ideology of the current era We saw it as a battle against capitalism, while ignoring who the capitalists are, what they believed, where they got their money from, what organizations they funded/supported. We saw it as the working man taking down the overly rich man - yet all communist (which IS marxism just ignoring the society/cultural rhetoric that gets you there). It's not some magical force that just takes over. It's men and women, making decisions, following orders, and believing that what they are doing is for the greater good. Men and women, that have names, and can be traced. Men and women who can be read about- what their aims are, what they believe, who they hate, and what their ultimate goal is. It took my until I was about 27 to start questioning narratives I believed in. Actually a friend of mine who was far more extreme that I was going to rallies, starting anarchist battles against cops whom I would think "All my other friends abandoned their fury, abandoned their anger against the system, but not me and X(friends name)" - this made me realize that I had not really grown. Sure I learned to achieve certain states of meditation, sure I could turn off thoughts, sure I gained skills, but my beliefs were the same as my teenage years. So I started to investigate where all those writers I so loved got their ideas from. Everyone loves to bark "SOURCES?" when identifying information, but rarely turns that lens upon themselves to discover where they themselves gleaned their general worldview from. We all have one. A basic gestalt that we use to describe the reasoning for WHY everything is the way it is and the HOW we got here. I also started to fix my endocrine system, removing poisonous foods, started eating meat (was vegetarian for 12 years), increasing testosterone by lifting and getting more exercise, and studying hard. Cannot understate how important endocrine system function is for clear thinking. Those of us who have hyperactive minds, or have some diagnosis- need to learn the value of working your ass off physically to the point of complete exhaustion is for getting a proper sleep, and quelling the nonstop rampage of ones own feedback system of thoughts. Your subconscious mind is being harassed endlessly these days, and we do not teach people any legitimate practices for actual agency in arresting self destructive feedback loops. Physical exhaustion is the easy way, practicing Jhana is a hard way- a lost practice (everyone pushes vipassana, which is like attempting to cut through ignorance to reach wisdom with a dull blade, nearly impossible. Jhana is the act of sharpening that sword). Doing this started to make me feel healthy, and I started analyzing by beliefs and where they came from. I'm not going to tell you what or where to go to figure those things out, that is on you. Knowing that the cultural revolution of the 60's, the music that came from the era, the aim of creating the baby boomer generation, and how that all lead to the 80's, and now the era we are in now, will unlock your understanding of what a the plan is - that people who believe in marxist vision push. They clearly state in their own words what they plan if you would bother to read it. If you truly wish to know, to forge through a path that will bring you no happiness- no joy - and no hope (unless you have farsight, and retroductive reasoning capacity which almost none do), automatically that you do not contribute to yourself. Well it's not easy, but nothing of lasting impact ever is. Investigate what happened there, and why- for what reason, and who benefits from this. Europa: The Last Battle - will help you understand the roots for the financial system we find ourselves immersed in that people call "capitalism" May the light of truth ever be your guide.

It’s hard to fully hate or resent people like him. On the one hand, he is a victim of a horrible system (in this instance, a patriarchal religion that seeks to dehumanize and murder queer people and people of color), and on the other hand, he’s actively working to perpetuate that very system, in doing so enabling that system to victimize others just like him. It’s the victim becoming the victimizer, it’s messy and complicated and ambiguous and therefore recognizing the messiness makes it harder to completely turn off any sympathy or empathy we might have for people like him, while it’s also hard to not instantly hate and resent him completely.

What I can and do _fully hate and resent_ is where people with power and authority make the deliberate choice to advocate for the humiliation, degradation, torture and rejection of those like themselves (through interventions/reparative therapy/shunning) but who are brave enough to acknowledge the conflict they are facing in terms of their sexuality within the context of their religious beliefs. That choice is both unconscionable and utterly unforgivable.

The documentary is pretty gross in itself. It hyper focuses on Peterson being gay as the issue. It's extremely aggressive when talking about being gay when the sexual assault is the actual issue. To them, the problem isn't that he didn't get consent, but the he did it with men

Ya i agree with Jaclyn. It would be cool if he became a voice for the Gay-Christian community. God loves the gays too sort of message.

When this happened a month or 2 ago, the amount of shock that I felt was far less than I'd have expected before it happened. I think I mostly feel bad for him, he's so far down the rabbit hole and can't be free to express himself. But he's also been a terrible person, so not that sorry for him.

He is also just too old to change, like, the man is 73, I don't believe people can change their mindset at that point even if they wanted.

You will Be surprised at the amount of his fans that don’t believe it’s true. He recently had a gay pastor on his show and went hard at the pastor (no pun intended) and his fans cheered him on as if Jesse himself isn’t gay

The thing I keep seeing about these people talking about such hate against a group of people is they are ashamed that they are involved in it. I know there is free speech, but there needs to be consequences for spreading lies and false information. I am glad you still post videos. Your content is great.

I dont see any actual proof of this aside from hear-say. It seems like a large group of people dont like him and his message, take offense from it. And cling on to rumors because they want to smear someone they view as an adversary or enemy. Remember the Brett Kavanagh allegations? Idk either way, I just don't think this is very honest

jesse lee peterson is a very sad and probably loney individual due to his inability to be a true to himself adult and his complete disreguard for reality to push his views.
