I nearly died when Kai got on one knee(I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO PROPOSE!!!)...only to return Cinder her foot. The feels...Also, when Cinder gave her speech in front of the Lunars. That was powerful, and emotional as a reader because in the beginning of the series we see this girl who is adamant about hiding herself from the world, and in this instalment, she is a powerhouse set on changing the world. Winter was break taking.

Yes!! I thought it was just little red riding hood but then I realized that it was just between wolfs brother Ran. Wolf and Scarlet resemble The Beauty and the Beast which made me love them even more 😍 I'm just Team Wolflet. They're my favorite couple from all of them.

I liked Jacin & Winter. But I found Jacin a bit annoying when it came to everyone else, like whenever they needed his help his first response was "Oh I'll do it but not for you for Winter." That was literally so annoying and most of his interactions with the others. The part where I like him a bit more was when he was talking to Cress and he said he'd protect her second to Winter. I thought his interactions with Winter though where cute.

YES! THANK YOU! So many people give Jacin a hard time, but him and Winter are my absolute favorite characters (and couple) in this series ! I like that he is morally gray, he doesnt do things because he thinks those are the right things to do, but because he will do anything to protect the people he loves, espcially Winter! He has flaws like us and I just think that adds more to the humanity of his character. If I were in his shoes I woud also care more about protecting my loved ones than anything else. He is one of the few characters in this series that feels like an person you'd meet in real life. Not only that, but his relationship with Winter is one of the most wholesome and loving I've ever read. The way they care so much about each other in every page they're in, even if they're not together and the things they do to protect the other just go to show how strong their love is and how well-written their relationship is.

I loved the scene where they all ask Thorne about the reward money and expected him to joke about it or divide it, and he just said something philosophical like: "some would say the only reward is to do something good" or something to impress Cress. Instead they all just stared at him and to not make things awkward he said: "but those people are idiots. Let's go" I can only imagine what it must look like to hear THORNE say that. 🤣

I do agree with point you made about stuff working out too easily, but if it didn't, I'd probably cry all day 😂 OH AND WHEN THORNE AND CRESS MADE OUT THEM FEELS AND WHEN KAI GOT HIS KNEE AND CINDER LIKE "oh my god, really?" Also I loved how shy and awkward Cinder was with the world leaders. Last thing- THAT ENDING THOOOOO I WAS REALLY THATS IT. So I'm hoping for some closure soon, please.

While I agree that a main character death would've made more sense in the end, I think having them all live added to the fairy tale aspect of the story which is often sidelined for action packed scenes. And I couldn't really say that the book would've been better if any particular character died(unlike Rick Riordan's "Blood of Olympus").

YESSSSS UR A WOLFLET STAN NOW YESSSSHHHH This book gave me Hunger Games/Divergent/Friends vibes and i always imagined either Timber playing in the background XD The exposition was absolutely amazing with Jacins trial amd Winters visions! Winter is such an amazing protagonist! I agree with you about the death thing but I feel like people wouldve walked away with a bad taste if someone did die XD. Im actually sad about alpha strom tho because he actually could have fit very well in the crew. Im kind of on the fencw about the levana happy ending thing because she is like scarred amd broken by her abusive sister but she also became a pretty horrible and cruel woman who was a mass murderer i love the friendship thing too! iko was such an underrated character tho i want marissa to make her have more friendships with the others i feel like shw wouldve gotten along with wolf and jacin I love how Kai shipped Cresswell uwu It was part of Thorne's personality to not be able to admit his feelings for cress because he hid his emotions behind a mask of sarcasm and stupidity YESSSSS YOU SHIP IKO AND KINNEY TOOOOOOO!!! I didnt get any closure with them tho cuz theres like nothing about them in stars above OoooH but Wires and Nerve was just amazing and it had so much Kiko too :3 jacinter is such an underrated ship, thwy gave me so many of the feels in Winter UwU Oh I love the scene where Scarlet commed Emilie and told her what happened and told her about Wolf thay was just hilarious and funny The Kaider ending was sooo amazing and symbolic and was just absolutely perfect!!!

While I did love this book, it was probably my favorite of the year, I do have some kind of nitpicks about this book. First, if I were Levana, I would have put someone else in charge of my wedding and then focus all my attention on painting Cinder as horrible as possible to the lower class Lunars. Yeah, she made that video with Kai but I would have done some more to make sure this revolution doesn't happen. She does have Kai palace, so I would have someone go down there, see if they can find video footage of her killing Sybil and maybe get Adri and Pearl to talk about how awful Cinder is. Y'know work a little harder to make sure Cinder doesn't overthrow me. My biggest problem is Luna, as an environment is so boring. The people aren't interesting because you're either one of two things: rich and dick or poor and easily persuaded to start a revolution. It's weird because the other locations like New Beijing, France and places in Africa were so interesting. Then we get to Luna and they're all pretty standard. You could have made it interesting, like maybe the smaller, lesser rich families in Levana's court want to help Kai and Earthens. Maybe we could see a district that's so beaten down that they don't want to help Cinder. It's really just meh. Other than those two things, I did really love the book. It wrapped up perfectly, all the characters were cool and interesting. I liked all the character interactions and the story was so much fun.

+ThoughtsOfAWriter You do make a good point about Levana not really doing much to besmirch Cinder's name. After reading Fairest, she seems like the sort of person who would do anything, even do it herself if she had to, to get something done to preserve her power and if she so badly wanted Cinder to be humiliated, I feel like she would not have waited until the very end to take action herself. I suppose one could argue that maybe she just got cocky because things seemed to be falling into place, like the wedding, coronation, etc.? For Luna, I do wish we had more diversity in the characters there. Like Kinney, for example, was treated well as a guard but still rebelled while the entire aristocracy of Luna seemed to just be a bunch of obnoxious twits who couldn't care less about anyone, even though I'm sure not everyone felt the same. Unless Levana chose her court on how entitled and self-centered one was? (I suppose that is entirely plausible, though...) About the possibility of a district that is so beaten down it doesn't want to help, I think that first area, RM-9?, was like that initially, but that could also speak to the convenience thing that Jesse was talking about. Sometimes, it felt like there should have been a bit more of a struggle to rally the public and such than what actually happened, in my opinion. Also, nice name. :D

winter and jacin are my favorite couple by farrrrr!!!!! childhood best friends to lovers and seeing how much they both love and care for each other- they have my whole heart. ik a lot of ppl find jacin annoying but he has his reasons and i think it’s so sweet how he’s kind of cold or stand-off-ish around another’s but melts instantly when he’s with winter.

I think you will be really happy with Something Old, Something New in Stars Above. I also think you would possibly enjoy Marissa Meyer's Graphic Novel additions to The Lunar Chronicles. Vranted, they are a quick read,but ultimately I think they are better as Graphic Novels. The first one is called Wires and Nerver: Volume One and the second one is called Wires and Nerve: Volume Two: Gone Rogue. Unfortunately, they are only a duology, but I feel like there should be more of them. :)

I loved how everything was wrapped up for this series. I'm definitely going to miss all of the characters. I agree that it would've been more realistic if someone died (although I didn't want that to happen). I loved the friendships throughout the story. My favourite scene from winter is when Thorne says careful is his middle name, right after suave and daring. And then Cinder says do you even know what you are saying half the time. I like this series because the cinder, scarlet, winter, or cress ever really having other love interests. Especially Cinder and Thorne. I find that there are a lot of stories that tend to have love triangles or multiple love interests.

Well, damn! You said everything I wanted to say. I had the same thoughts on Winter as you did! It's creepy! XD I loved everyone in Winter, even though I didn't like Scarlet and Wolf together in Scarlet, too. I really enjoyed their story in Winter. Also my favorite couple Cress &Thorne. I actually pretty understand why Thorne was acting the way he did. And the ending!!!! Cinder and Kai not being actually together? WTF?! Now I need to wait for the novella. I need more Cress and Thorne and Kai and Cinder! I'm gonna miss them so much! My favorite scenes were any between Cinder and Throne!!! XD

I guess the happy ending thing played along with the fairytale aspect but I def was expecting someone to die from the logical aspect.
