My dad gave me the best advice about body shaming when I got pregnant with my first daughter. My father told me " Dont critique or pick at your body in front of your daughter. Your daughter is going to look to her mother as one of the most beautiful women in the world. If the most beautiful. If she sees the most beautiful woman in the world critiquing or not liking their body what is that going to do to her?" My husband and I have always been extremely careful about what gets said around our kids. I'm not one to critique my body very much anyway but there is no way I will ever let my daughters know that I'm not comfortable in my own skin because I want them to be comfortable in their own skin. That was some of the best advice my father gave me

@MsEvylicious4 жыл бұрын
@Kelly I can already imagine her sometime in the future years from now...revealing all of that and how she was so unhappy current time(Open Book Part 2). I agree her daddy is a puppeteer as long as she doesnt distance herself from him everything will stay the same. Maybe shes with her husband for the sake of the kids. Who knows if she truly tries to let go of what's not surfacing she will probably divorce down the road. Which isnt anything wrong as long as she finds happiness true happiness. I saw a video where Jessica tried to kiss her husband Eric and he turned her down in front of the cameras on the red carpet and directed her to keep walking instead. She kinda reminds me of Britney Spears how her dad controls her assets and how she hasnt been herself in a really long time since ppl are pulling her from diff directions. It's sad to see them turn this way. And the same she hasnt been the same since Justin like Jessica hasnt been the same since Nick. It's like they realize once it's really over.
@RationallyMe4 жыл бұрын
@Kelly Great critique! I have said the exact same thing. Her addiction is the result of... 1. Divorcing one of Hollywood's most honorable men simply because she got too "big" for the marriage. Then, after all of the virginity talk, became a Hollywood pass around. 2. Becoming a sugar mama to her current husband because she needed to save face by getting engaged at the same time Nick and Vanessa got engaged. 3. If she is so happy with the current gold digger husband, why did she need alcohol? And why didn't Eric intervene? 4. She regrets Nick getting the settlement in the divorce, when she would never have had that level success without the show-- which was the sole result of marrying Nick. And... she only didn't sign the pre-nup because her dad told her not to because, at the time, Nick had the most money.

How refreshing to see that Jessica is on the same “wave” as her interviewers. What a good match for this interview. The energy is so fun and bubbly and the conversation is just naturally flowing, no awkward moments or weird pauses. It’s just like three friends catching up on their lives. And most importantly they’re all laughing together having a genuinely good time, as opposed to some other interviews where Jessica is just making jokes and laughing at them by herself ; the interviewer doesn’t even get the joke or her humor, doesn’t even try to laugh out of respect and the audience is dead, which was so weird to see, because even though Jessica has clearly been through a lot you can just see that she really is a good person at heart, she’s hilarious, kind and sweet and her vibes are so wholesome. She is indeed an open book.

@steven roscoe - Everyone makes mistakes - just different kinds and types. Like Jesus said, those without sin can cast the first stone. @janam41524 жыл бұрын
@steven roscoe - No, I certainly would not want to be, but I do realize that especially when young and without the seasoning of experience, people make mistakes, which are bad choices. Some people learn from those and correct their actions. Some people are not teachable and never learn -- so it would be a case-by-case discernment of each individual.

I don’t remember ever hearing her laugh like this on Newlyweds. She wasn’t allowed to be herself. Nick always hated her personality. Now he is with someone equally as boring as him
@twonner24 жыл бұрын
Why would you assume Vanessa is boring? Also, If he hated Jess's personality, why would he have proposed to her? So many assumptions....lol

Do you know Vanessa? Stop assuming.

I love this woman so much. Reading this book people finally get to see the person she is. I have been a fan since the very beginning and she has been one who has never held back and her finally not caring what others think about her now, it is so great to see.

I have to commend her for wishing Nick and Vanessa well before and after their snub to her. What a beautiful person she is, inside and out. I hope Nick and Vanessa's show is cancelled over their pettiness. Jessica you're worth more than they are by money as well as character. Go Jessica Simpson!!! Happy for you!
@RationallyMe4 жыл бұрын
Nick and Vanessa didn't snub Jessica-- they simply told the truth. And just like Jessica has more money than Nick and Vanessa, there are others who have more money than her. She's not Jeff Besos. And, obviously, money isn't everything, as she was still an alcoholic and still hasn't found true love because her husband is simply a gold digger.
@oxhwkxo4 жыл бұрын
Nick and Vanessa were not snubbing Jessica. There was no pettiness. I don't know where you got that idea from. If anything Jessica is being petty. She won't stop slamming Nick in the media. She needs to move on.
@RationallyMe4 жыл бұрын
@@oxhwkxo Jessica can't move on because she's watching Vanessa live the happy life she threw away because Newlyweds made her too big of a "star" to remain married. Realizing she settled for her current husband, to save face when Nick and Vanessa got engaged and that he is simply along for the ride, has driven her to drinking.

@@RationallyMe Vanessa is still the obsessed fan girl vying for Nick's attention. Poor woman.

Queen. Idk if her great interviews are a lot of PR training or prep but if they are, it’s fine. She kills it. Never feels like a scripted response. It all feels real. Which is what I’ve always appreciated about her. The imperfections and all. She has said several times that she hates being compared to other pop stars. Nothing against them but she’s her own person. She played a long game in her career. And it worked!! So Happy to see stories like this.
