i just learned of your story.. I am so sorry this happened to you and your sisters...This song really made me cry. I have never had to endure what you have and i am sorry to all the children who have been abused. It saddens my heart so... You are strong and you got this. You are beautiful, your voice and talent are beyond and i am so proud of you even though i do not know you.. You were so brave and strong and I agree with what Rains of Healing said in the comment below.. Such an inspiration to so many survivors out there. You are a warrior and i am so glad to see that you are not broken and that you came out stronger than ever... Thank you for sharing your stories and life that you have now.. You look so happy and I am so glad

I was watching an interview the Willis Clan did with the 700 club probably a few short months before Jessica left the family home. In the background you can see her sitting with her head hanging low and the saddest look on her face. Now that we know the truth and have read her story I thank God for saving this beautiful young woman. I'll never understand how a dad could do that to his daughter. God bless you Jessica and I'm so grateful that you were saved.

Thankyou for creating this song. It relates to me as a child physically and mentally abused by my mother till her death at my age of 27. My sister doesn’t believe me how she abused me. It feels lonely. I need to speak my mind any way. So sorry you experienced this. This abuse has caused me so much pain in my life with trusting anyone. I’m 61 and still struggling. I’m thinking I don’t need to care what others might think. I need to speak my mind for healing. I’ve stuffed down these feelings for so long. Maybe this song can give me strength. I pray you all find peace some day. Thankyou for your music.

Back in 2013 when we had "Finnegan's Wake" at McNamara's Irish Pub and had moved inside I remember vividly transfixed at your performance of "My Soldier". I was listening to a WWII widow pour her heart out on the stage not a barely out of her teens singer. It was obvious you have an ancient soul with a unique gift that goes beyond singing and songwriting, the ability to pour all your emotion into every syllable. God gave you enormous gifts of music and words Jessica and we all can feel his pleasure when you use them...and our hearts soar!

I just listened to that song and absolutely love it! Her voice is amazing and I love the lyrics. “Still” made me just sit and think.
