I'm so sorry about Mamaw. My Mom was 96 when she passed. She lived with us for 12 1/2 years, and most days, I hear something funny, or something she would find interesting, and I get up to go tell her, then realize I can't. I'm not sure the hurt ever passes, but as we learn to deal with our grief, it becomes a bit easier, and the memories become smiles more than tears. Being a Grandmother is the absolute best thing ever. I have 10 Grandkids, and I guarantee that Mamaw felt as blessed to have you as I feel to have my Grandkids.

I'm so sorry for your loss !! I'm in Hendersonville NC and got power today after 14 days. We are beyond BLESSED !!! We couldn't even get down the mountain until 1 day ago and we had to drive in people's yards to even get down the hill to get out of here bc our neighborhood roads are 3 /4 gone !!! MAJOR devastation is here in the NWM's of North Carolina!!! There is no running water in Asheville period none! Canada electric is a big part in repairing our electric among other out of state power companies that have been called in our affected areas. We are beyond GRATEFUL!! There is NO Lake Lure/Chimney Rock....it is gone...literally!!! All prayers to Florida as they are facing a monster as I type this!!!

My heart breaks for you all because I know what it's like for heaven to gain another angel, but for that to bring grief & sadness because here on Earth we are temporarily separated from that special loving person! My Great Grandmother passed when I was 22....she blessed this Earth for 98 years. Like you, I absolutely loved her biscuits, stories, love, and the small moments that we were able to share for 22 years. I can't tell you that it will get easier, but I do find peace in knowing that one day I will get to join, see, and hug her in heaven!

Your Maw Maw’s biscuits are like my grandmother’s fresh green beans. ❤️ My parent’s live in eastern TN and also dealt with the Hurricane and damage. Hi bunkies! Jessica, my heart just bleeds for the loss of your beloved Me-Maw. I was about your age when I lost my Grandma, up until that point, I'd never lost someone so special. My Grandma spent three weeks every summer from the age of 10 till I turned 18. She taught me to garden and cook. I'm now passing it down to my kids and grandbabies. Jessica you are truly in my prayers every day and night. Three times on Sunday! ❤❤❤ Please allow this time for your heart to heal. I’m so sorry for your loss my mom fell and had a brain hemorrhage also then passed. This had me in a full blown crying session.. just remember what we went through and know your loss. Prayers sent to you and your family!🙏🏼

I cried all the way through this. My mamaw was my hero and the matriarch of our family. I can’t imagine the devastation after the Hurricane and the loss of a loved one at the same time. Your family has really been through it. 💔 Praying for you and that you feel God’s grace and peace while you pick up the pieces. ❤
