So happy to find this!! Thank you. I'm playing it right now to my mum who is dying of cancer in New Zealand. Im in Melbourne Australia and I can't visit her because of the cover-19 lockdown. We went to this together when I was 10 in Sydney and mum absolutely loved it. I just found the record we still have of it!!!

Jon English had no peer as Judas. Very underrated performer. A real 🌟

Wow, I'd forgotten (or was too young to appreciate) how hard Jon English could rock a good song since seeing this as a little kid at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney. This Aussie cast were right up there with any on Earth, I reckon. Perhaps that's why it hit so very big down here!

First time I saw John English was in this production, he was amazing, I fell in love with him then as a little girl! I am so glad my mum took me! And she took me to Hair too! Love my mum!

I did so, too, though it was 'only' ''Against the Wind'' in my case :) And I always loved him since then somehow. He stayed dear to my heart. I feel devastated since I yesterday (I am in Germany) got the tragic message he has flown away. I always hoped one day to see hiim live, but never made it to Australia. Now my only hope is we will meet in Paradise (I hope you will not laugh. I am really in tears while typing. It is strange how much we are touched when our 'old crushes' have to leave. The last time I cried that much was when Leonard Nimoy passed away, it was as hard for me). Be blessed and have a good day!

+ABBARoxAus Hey ABBARox - you so kindly helped me get the soundtrack to download since I have it on vinyl but no turntable - a year or so ago - if you find footage I will shower you with gifts! I cannot believe there was never any filming - though that said - I don't know if you remember a show called Boys Own Macbeth with Rory and Graham which was filmed at the Kirk Gallery - never emerged officially - my partner at the time had dealings with Graham Bond and told him what a fan I was of that production and he sent me a VHS of it - with a little signed message - and the quality is hideous - so guess it was just the wrong era -though you would think if we have TV performances of the 70s something could have happened that was of some quality? I will save for the gifts in case!!

Would there be ANY chance you could upload the record of Jesus Christ Superstar complete, or help me to get it (or a copy)? I search literally since I have internet. I liked him so much when I was a girl and 'Against the WInd' was aired here in Germany (I still have the record, but more of him wasn't sold here. From time to time I get a record of him via Internet if it is not to expensive, the shipping from Australia can be enormous!), but never 'Jesus Christ'. And as you, I would LOVE to see it as a footage! (One of my first crushes, by the way, when I was seven or eight, was a german singer, which started in 'Hair' in 1968 his carreer. And though this was played for years, and it was the german first 'Hair', it wasn't filmed, too, as it seems! I found a cardboard box with 4 records and with a booklet with pictures from that 'Hair`' after a long long search, but that was all. I cannot imagine why back then nobody cared.) I was so happy when they played 'All together now' here in the EIghties or Nineties and I saw Jon English again, it was called 'Rock'n'Roll-Daddy' here. But I still had NO Idea how great he was. He was one of my first searches in internet when I was able to do so. When I was young, I even named a Käthe-Kruse-doll 'Jonathan', after Jonathan Edward Garrett, I liked him so much. I am still sad I never met somebody as lovely and sweet as that Mr. Garrett :) He reminded me on my most beloved german poet (which is almost forgotten here; a french refugee which really was a scientist. His name was Adelbert v. Chamisso, and I thought they really resembled each other. I always thought Adelbert v. Chamisso has come back. But now I had to learn the news, too. Yesterday, I am still in tears.) Maybe you are on Facebook or maybe on Google+? I would love to 'meet you' there. (And perhaps you can help me, but that would not be the only reason ) Good bye, have a great day!

Definitely an incredible production. I saw it at least 7 times at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney. I saw it in London and the Sydney production was way better.

+LouZ ontek I only saw it twice in Sydney but from what you say it must have been twice as good as the London show, for me at least. lol. I still love the music.
