I found "Beck's Coffee" to be nice cheap and good place to get breakfast when I was in Tokyo last year. There might be one near you.

Hope your trip is a great one. I'm heading back for a visit next month. Japanese convenience stores have all sorts of great items. It's tempting to get many of your meals there when travelling. Even the egg salad sandwiches there are way better than the ones at US convenience stores. People will talk about 7-11, Lawson's, and Family Mart, but my favorite is Daily Yamazaki. They have all kinds of great baked good. And if you need cash in Japan, the best rate is just to use an ATM, and make sure you say "No" to converting the on-screen currency to Dollars. But use the ATMs at 7-11, or the Post Office, or at least marked Seven-Bank - the ATMs at Japanese commercial banks don't work with US ATM cards.
