I recently bought the Pentel pocket brush pen (first one) with no brush pen experience and found it really easy to pick up. It's not like water color where there's like 5 techniques to think of with every stroke or charcoal where you have to pay attention to the pressure and how/where to blend. Brush pens are the most relaxing medium in my opinion, it's just one tone and nonstop flow of ink.

Purchased a bunch of pens from these folks. Not only did it arrive INCREDIBLY FAST (and I didn’t opt for the fast option) but WOW ARE THESE PENS GOOD. I use Copic Brush Pens because I need to color-in with my copic sketch markers. I really like the Tombow one among these featured in the video. Do you know if any of these go well with copic markers? A lot of the times when I try coloring, often the brush lines would smudge, and sometimes even the copic brush would smudge...
