In this video the boys and I will be doing an unboxing and assembly of the Jetson Bolt Pro electric bike we picked up at our local Costco. The item number for Costco is 1426314. Jetson's part number for the bike is JBLTP-BLK. We've been wanting to try an E-Bike and when we came across this one I couldn't resist, especially at this price point.
I have also prepared another video (Part 1) that will cover features, testing and a review of the bike. Make sure to check it out!

nice video. However, don't forget there is a safety clip you need to turn when the handle bar is up and locked.

@de_Z - Thank you for the compliment! Thank you for pointing the safety clip out, somehow that got edited out and I didn't catch it. I'm going to pin your comment at the top to remind folks. I appreciate you stopping by and and taking a moment to leave some great info - thank you.

Your video helped me a lot. Thanks! But l don't understand the conversation you had about a safety clip. Is there something else to do?
@javosgarage
@javosgarage 3 жыл бұрын
There is a small, black, plastic safety clip (or ring if you will) located by the locking mechanism for the handlebars. You rotate the ring around and it acts as a secondary safety to make sure the handlebars stay locked in the "up" position in the event the locking handle should fail or come loose. Hope that answers your question.

Excellent job. Watching this after just getting back from my Costco and unexpectedly finding it in stock. It's still in the box and after your video I feel completely prepared to set it up w/o having to look at any instructions. Thank you.

Thank you for this helpful video! The assembly manual from Jetson was no help at all. And unfortunately, my refurbished grade A bike came with a missing part to the seat clamp so now I have to wait until they get back to me. I was trying to figure what was wrong for the longest time until I saw this video.

Can you help me? I just rode mine for the 1st time and it keeps making a grinding feel & noise when pedaling with PAS on, at the same part of the pedal rotation. Throttle only, then it's fine. Pedaling w/motor OFF, then it's fine also. I also took it on a dirt trail almost right away, but got off of it after 50 feet because this bike couldn't handle it. Not sure if something got knocked out of whack. Please help. Thanks and subscribed.

how does the analog bell on Bolt Pro work? Can you show it by a video?
@javosgarage
@javosgarage 3 жыл бұрын
@Shahram Zamani Mortazavi - LOL!! I love your sense of humor! Yes, I found the "analogue bell" pretty funny in the description as well. Well, I guess they had to call it something so adding "analogue" to "bell" made it seem more technical. Thanks for stopping by and taking a moment to put a smile on my face today, thank you!

Mine just arrived and I don’t know how to put on the pedals
@javosgarage
@javosgarage 3 жыл бұрын
@Truly_WAKANDA - You got this. Your pedals should have a sticker labeled "L" and "R". The "R" pedal goes on the right side of your bike when you are sitting on it. Another example would be the "Power" button on the handlebar is on the left side of your bike and the "Cruise/Light" button with your power indicator bars are on the right side of your bike. There is a wrench included with the bike that you will need. The pedal on the right side of the bike is tightened by turning your wrench clockwise (as you're facing it) but the pedal on on the left side is a reverse thread so you would turn it counter clockwise (as you're facing it) to tighten. Hope that helps you. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hey i just got this bike in the mail, and I’m having a tough time assembling the fender. When I put the washer and nut on the back side, the washer just falls out and when I finally manage to get the nut on as well, it also falls. How do I tighten the nut onto the bolt? I tried twisting it but that doesn’t help.
@javosgarage
@javosgarage 3 жыл бұрын
@Pizza Time - Hi Pizza. It's certainly possible you could have a problem with either the nut or bolt. Try taking the bolt out and see if you can get it going without struggling in the small space just to make sure there's no problems. If you can get those two to work then you'll have to try again but realize these are a fine thread so you have to be at the correct angle or it just won't work. If you accidentally cross threaded it or it's defective I would make a quick run to the hardware store (or dig through that bucket in the garage we all have LOL) and get a replacement. Not ideal, but it's the solution. Another thing, that nut is a nylon locking nut so it is not going to be easy to just hand tighten, it will require tools once the bolt engages the nylon lock ring in the nut. The nut is designed to be tight and not loosen over time, this also makes it more difficult to install. I hope this will help you get your bike assembled because you're going to really enjoy it. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask and I'll be happy to help any way I can. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi I’m also having issue with this part . When I put the nut on and I start to screw it on, it stops screwing. Am I NOT supposed to screw the nut on? Am I just supposed to apply the nut and then use the Allen key to tighten it?
@javosgarage
@javosgarage Жыл бұрын
Correct Cashala. Assuming it's on straight and not cross threaded, when it gets difficult to turn means you are engaging the nylon lock ring and will need to use tools to continue. The nylon lock ring keeps the nut from loosening over time.
