We just bought two of these today, so far we love them. We took a 5 mile ride around our town and only used one bar, my husband used two but he’s a bigger guy than I am. I don’t know if yours if different than ours but when you peddle the motor kicks in throttle or no throttle as long as it’s turned on, you said peddling & throttle have no cohesion? It even says peddle assist on the box.
@batterybikes3 жыл бұрын
Nice! Glad to hear it. You’re right with the pedal assist. I didn’t notice it in my neighborhood for whatever reason, but I did when riding downtown. I think I didn’t feel it because it seems to provide less power than the throttle and is pretty subtle compared to my full size ebikes.
@S.E.C-R3 жыл бұрын
@@batterybikes Thanks for clarifying, yes, it is subtle, but this is our first ebikes and it was noticeable to us. I thought maybe I had a different model.
@batterybikes3 жыл бұрын
Awesome - I hope you enjoy it. I got it mostly as a throwaway to use for theft tests, but after riding it I definitely think it punches above its weight.

THANK YOU! VERY good informative video! Can you reply with how many inches from end of tire to end of tire? I want to know how hard it'd be to put two of them in back of my Kia Soul
@batterybikes2 жыл бұрын
Hey Thanks Tom. I never got around to making a full review for it but hope to do one in the next couple months. It's a fun cheap bike to use for short trips. Hey I'm not at home to verify this, but Amazon and Jetson put the length at 46.5 inches. I don't think you'd have any trouble fitting it in the back of a car like that

Hey man, what is the range you would expect for a 145lb guy?
@batterybikes2 жыл бұрын
Hey Pragul. Hard to say, but I think if you pedal too you should be able to get 10 miles. Hills and throttle only can kill it pretty quick though There is a Facebook group full of experts that may be able to give you a better idea though: facebook.com/groups/2837172053055450/?multi_permalinks=4541096339329671¬if_id=1645906174806968¬if_t=group_highlights&ref=notif

What is peddling like with motor off or dead battery? I find mine so laborious that I end up walking it. I purchased 2nd hand and couldn't get a straight answer from seller if that is normal or if it needs servicing. I flip upside down to see if tires spin freely and they do, but right side up & attempting to ride it manually like normal bike is too sluggish. I've seen others complain of this so not sure if in need of remedy or just how they are.
@batterybikes3 жыл бұрын
It may need servicing. Without the throttle I found the built in assist to be super low and not crazy different from with the power off. With that said, the bike is tiny and has pretty weird geometry so I find it pretty slow to get around so hard to gauge expectations. Might be able to join one of the Jetson FB groups and see if you can find another local to try one out

looking forward to your review video on this bike as i also live in SF. loved seeing the sf neighborhoods in your video. i'm hoping you get at least 12 to 14mi on a full charge on the hills of SF.
@batterybikes3 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks eternal, glad to see another San Franciscan on here. I'm putting up a video this week testing out Airtags and then am going to use the Jetson as a bait bike. So it may be a minute before I can get a full review. I doubt the Jetson can pull 12-14 on hills, probably something like 8-10 miles with you pedaling. :-/ Still a lot of fun, but I wouldn't try and commute that far on it. (I'll do a range test with both pedaling and throttle to be sure though.)

@@batterybikes thanks for the update and information. my commute is mostly between sunset and downtown, 40 minutes each way. thanks for the estimate. I'll have to decide soon between this and an electric scooter since costco's website just delisted this bike. happy riding!

whoa that's absurd. I think they're barely worth it at $400. I'd probably pick a rad mission if you wanted something on the cheap. Though... obviously a much bigger bike. I've wanted to do a real review on this bike but just haven't gotten around to it. My pedals started breaking after just a few miles.

DYU is the orig. company to sell this style it is in china I had a d1 bout 6 years ago. now i'm on my second one a D2f I love em i'm guessing the company sold the bike unbranded for there own brands but the big dif on jetson is they open on other side and come with a 350 watt the dyu comes with choices of dif motor size and battery. many new styles now also.
