Shiva, a multitude of thanks sir! This little bike has changed my world and your videos greatly enhance that experience. When walking with my cane, I resemble a stumblebum. On my Jetson Pro I am a graceful daring youth! I am able to maintain a high cadence despite hills, navigate traffic and look sorta semi cool doing it! My blood pressure and pulse rate have plummeted, hypertension meds reduced. Thank you again sir! Best regards, John Hrichak

Greetings Shiva, Several months later and a report for newbie Jetson Pro owners. The battery supplied does NOT (apparently) have a LVC, or low voltage cutoff. DO NOT run it till the battery expires! Destroys the battery, as I experienced. $150 later, a new 10 ah battery (your recommendation) with LVC included. Now confidence with 60% more capacity. Truly enjoying my ride. Namaste Best regards, John Hrichak

You are the GOD of Jetson Bolt Pro vids. Not sure I'll get this but I think this is the first YT vid where the motor of this bike was changed, which I'll do when my original motor goes. Question though, you mentioned that you should leave the pin halfway thru on the old chain. Why is this if you are using the new chain? You shouldn't have to deal with the old chain, correct? Always enjoy your Jetson Bolt Pro vids!
@ShivaSapkota2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for your continued support! You are so kind. The reason why I would recommend leaving the pin is in case you need to revert back to your original system. The new system comes with its own chain but if you don't like the gearing system and want to use the regular chain, that pin is really hard to insert if fully ejected. Thank you.

Does the gears help on hills only on motor, or help with pedal assit?
@jb1934 Жыл бұрын
The number one thing jetson needs in the drivetrain is a freewheel so the bike can be pedalled without having to overcome with back emf in the direct drive hub motor. Here's a tantalizing mod with a freewheel... but does it work around the back emf?? If it does, it's worth every penny. If it doesn't, then it's the wrong solution for the problem.

Hello Shiva. Your videos are great! Do you have video - How to realign wheels to handlebars? Jetson Bolt handlebar Realignment? My bolt is really tight I can’t loosen it? Thank you ! Jane
@ShivaSapkota2 жыл бұрын
Hello, thank you very much! I don't have a video but if you fold the stem and look straight down you will see an ellen screw (I believe this is 10mm), you just have to loosen that screw and you can align the wheels with handlebars. Make sure to secure that screw when the alignment is completed. If the screw is stubborn, use a long extension to the allen key.

Hi Shiva, greetings! Amazing, amazing videos! I live in Toronto, Canada and am wondering if I could hear your expert opinion on whether the Jetson Bolt Pro or the Everyday Minnow 16" electric bike is the better ebike. After watching so many of your videos, and your truly mechanical and logical and analytical approach, I am sure that your feedback will help me decide on which ebike to purchase...to be honest, I have ordered an Everyday Minnow as it has bigger wheels, however, I don't know if the Minnow has full throttle option (I suspect that the Minnow only has pedal assist) - would love to hear your thoughts...should I cancel the Minnow order and buy a Jetson Bolt Pro? Thanks a million, for helping all the Jetson Bolt community out there, God bless!
@ShivaSapkota Жыл бұрын
Greetings! Thank you for your kind words. I personally haven't tested the Minnow ebike but looking at their spec, it does have a throttle option. It also has an electronic horn and a front screen to show speed etc. For the larger wheels and those extra features, I would go with Minnow over Jetson if the price is not significantly higher for the Minnow. Hope this helps!
@user-pp6if7wl9q Жыл бұрын
Hello Shiva, thank you so very much indeed for your prompt reply - it really helps! I will take your advise and go with the Minnow...re the throttle option, I am hoping that it is not just to start moving but that it will allow riding without pedaling...irrespective of this, yes, I will go with the Minnow coz of the larger wheels and extra features - the price is actually around CAD25 cheaper than the Jetson Bolt Pro here in Canada...not a significant difference...however the Minnow does not seem to have a following such as the Jetson does...and you are most certainly helping make a HUGE difference for the better, for Jetson followers - and for me too, thanks!

How is the free play on the folding handlebar hinge on your bike? I am finding that after one year that there seems to be more play in that it clicks and moves more at the hinge than when new when you gently push/pull the handlebars when stopped. And I never unlatch the hinge. I suspect the bumps from normal riding is causing the clearance on the hinge pin to wear and get more play over time?

Not sure i would say this mod is worth the extra weight and effort to fit it's not really a hard bike to pedal except when the battery is dead. What would be a good upgrade is a smaller free wheel, and a larger front sprocket with shorter crank arms, which would give you more top speed even if less hill climbing, but then that's what the motor does, makes hill climbing a little easier. As it stands when you pedal you just about get up to around 12 to 14 mph and the legs are moving very fast, with a smaller free wheel it may take it to 15 or 16 with the same result, with a shorter crank arm and larger crank sprocket you might increase to 17 to 18 but only on the flat. But for all this it's just as easy to swap out the controller and if you feel flush the motor for a 350 watt motor which will give you much better performance all round, except hill climbing, these bikes seem to hate hills.

Yes, you could spend thousands of dollars on an eBike kzbin.infoUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ and get something much higher quality. However, if you're looking for a basic model to try out eBiking this is a great choice. The assembly is easy as far as bikes go (took about an hour for me to do, I'm not an expert). All tools needed are included. I added the plastic mud guards you see and a more comfortable seat. The other reviews are correct that you're probably going to want a better seat (Giddy Up! Bike Seat is what I got - super comfortable). The battery easily handles a 2-4 hour ride if you add some of your own pedal power. I haven't even gotten it up to top speed yet - it is very fast. Components are not top of the line, but decent for the price and work just fine. It works great on dirt roads and singletrack and pavement although too heavy to do tricks or any serious technical mountain biking. I'm looking forward to using it a lot over the summer. Tons of fun!
