So…. Bottom line…. In the US top speed is limited to 120 knots by regulation. My choice would be the FD CTLS. It’s got all the features you’d want and cruises at 120 knots…. My dream plane

Thanks for the unvarnished details on LSAs, especially the rough turbulence issues. Not many pilots mention that. Have you checked out the Experimental/LSAs coming out of Europe? All seem to be on the Rotax platform. JMB, Sparker etc

This list is totally bad, this isn´t fast LSA, but normal speed. Where are really fast LSA like VL3 and Risen and some others?

I'm looking at the Dark Aero 1. 1700 mile range and 270 mph top speed. You may have to slow down to get that range, but that's still kind of impressive.

Discussing the various features is fine, but "Fastest" is like prostitutes discussing virginity. All LSA are limited to 120 CAS and almost all can achieve that because they are designed to stay below that speed.

This is kind of dumb. To be a Light Sport Aircraft, Max speed in level flight is limited to 120 knots CAS for certification.
