I like your videos Bama. Your'e a down to earth guy, not cocky, and a great attitude. Some of these youtubers come off extremely arrogant when taking direction from other fisherman.

I have cooked sheepshead in beer and then made a seafood salad with the flaked meat that tastes just like crab. Wonderful fish to eat. Great video.

Now I know why I miss so many Sheeps. I’ve been using too large a hook. Thanks for the video.

Some of my best days jetty fishing were right there at Perdido Pass. One morning at sunrise my brother and I limited out on huge pompano. That morning we also caught giant spadefish, mangroves, lady fish, whiting, a little grouper and some others. It all shut down as soon as a pod of dolphin came through. Two of my scariest times happened there too. I got caught out there in a severe thunderstorm and got a picture of four water spouts down in front of me at the same time. The other time, I decided to wade the edge of the rocks on a murky outgoing tide and a 9 ft hammerhead came out of nowhere and spun around right at my feet. This Tennessee hillbilly really likes your channel.

Yeah if fishing for sheep again I will be using J hooks. Probably the only time I won’t be using circles.

Love the video. I’m headed down there for Mardi Gras soon...plan on taking my son fishing under the bridge. Is the west side or east side better? I won’t be taking him out on the rocks. Thanks in advance!

Just came across your channel and I've enjoyed what you have posted. I'm planning a trip to the Gulf Shores area and I like the location you are fishing in this video. Where is it exactly and what would be in season in mid to late September?

What is that sticking out of the sheepshead hole...Air bladder?
@BamaBeachBum6 жыл бұрын
tj23490 I’m thinking it’s part of its intestine. The change in pressure can cause that to pop out. It’s pretty deep right there by the bridge pylon.

Y'all measure the fork length on your sheepshead? That's not typically a fish that's considered a forked tail species. NC and SC regs use the total length
