Kia Ora from Aotearoa, clicked on video as pendants shapes looked familiar. Thank you for sharing your story and process. Please, out of respect and as you are representing another culture, can you both learn how to correctly pronounce Māori words you use, there are online resources that can help you both. Especially the word Māori, I cringed every time this was said, it reminds me of the way this was said in “that” way negatively, and when a person has no respect or can’t be bothered to learn how to pronounce correctly. And as you are representing another culture you need to be using the correct written language, Māori uses Macrons, the horizontal lines above certain vowels to indicate emphasis, can completely change the meaning of a word or sentence. As Māori hasn’t been used correctly in the description, it has been incorrect repeated by viewers as they are following your narrative of the word. I did see it was used correctly in a reply, but it was not used consistently as it was then spelt wrong later on in the the reply. I see you both have done a lot of research into this topic and it is dear to your hearts and you are not trying to offend. But hearing and seeing the language not used correctly, I just could not mention this. Only hope you both take this as someone trying to help you better represent my culture and yourselves by getting the basic right. All the best in your ventures.

I absolutely love your channel. I am on board with everything that you are teaching everything that you are doing. I love that you recycle plastic and go out and get plastic out of the waterways and make the environment safer for us humans and the non-humans that live on this earth. I love that you show the crafts that you guys make with all of these plastic items. The only issue I have is that, me being the average person, does not have the machines that you have in your shop. And as an average person many of us cannot afford to even rent those machines or have vehicles to go and get those machines. Or have the means to get those machines. So if you could show us how to make something really cool with what the average person would have in their house to use for the recycled project, that would be amazing. Making your pens, that they're so awesome, it would be great if you would be able to show us how to use what we have at home in the average household, to recycle the plastic and make into your pens. That would be awesome. Anyway these pendants that you made are absolutely gorgeous thanks for sharing

Those look great! However, the Maori are not the only Polynesian culture that makes fish hooks like that. Hawaiians do too and they are traditionally made by hand from cow bone. Wow that is so cool!! Such a awesome thing for using up useless waste no one else would given it a second thought over doing anything out of it!! Wonder if 3D printer plastic the same as HDPE plastic or what kind that plastic is itk? Make plastic tubes for a high heat glue gun as a very affordable 3D pen!
@NM-wd7kx2 жыл бұрын
3D printers usually use PLA, though other materials are used (ABS, nylon, etc.). PLA melts at about 200-220°, which is in the same range as HDPE. I'm not sure how hot you can run a hot glue gun, but a modified/custom 3D pen (built like a pellet printer) could work.
