I can't thank you enough for this, Janet. There are many videos out there with most of the same basics, but you went the extra mile and showed some very small, mostly overlooked nuances of the saws, blades, and techniques that nobody else has explained.

Janet, you do not remember me but you came to Dallas YEARS ago and I took a class with you knowing absolutely nothing about jewelry making. You were so awesome at going over the basics. Thanks to you (an many trials and errors), I am now making my own jewelry! Thank you!

@@sherrihardesty6177 So sorry, no they didn't tell me they were going out of business. I found out afterward. Otherwise, I would have gotten information from them as to where they were being manufactured.

Ok I have a question why did my saw blade broke when I am not doing anything with it I am just holding the saw and the blade was in and suddenly snapped in half and my blades are not cheap blades and it suddenly just snapped in half

Try the Swiss blades sold at Otto Frei Swiss Jewelers Saw Blades Part # 149.410G. I have students who lay the saw down with the metal still on the blade, and they haven't broken. OttoFrei.com in CA.

...if you use an annealed blade it will not cut anything...was listening to this until i heard her say this and realized she knows absolutely nothing at all about any form of metal.

The annealed blade, just means its more flexible with more forgiveness when its in a stressed tight bind.
