It's really quite simple: Hindu is a religion of peace and non aggression, when Hindu is the dominant religion, religious minorities are safe. Much the same is true of christianity in western nations. When islam is the dominant religion however, no religious faction except muslims are safe.

There is no concept of conversion or proseltyzation in Hindu or sanatan dharma! Every one is accountable for his own karma! One has to find truth himself! Find his own guide or guru and meditate! There is no merit point gain by converting some one! Hence lots of sects and belief system coexisting! Idea is pretty alien to destroy a synagogue or anyone’s place of worship!
