The review of the project might have been so much better as a review featuring kids who weren't looking to be the stars of their own KZbin vid. Standards of behaviour are still a little different over here. We still have a little feeling left that our kids are actually better off understanding that the Universe doesn't revolve around them. But don't worry, we're learning from you fast. It was a review of a technical project and while the kids were there to make the point that anyone could make it, which worked very well, their precocious behaviour got in the way and detracted from the message. Pedal wise JHS never impressed me. Taking existing designs and tweaking them a little bit. In the DIY pedal community he used to be a bit of a joke. And pedal kits are a dime a dozen now. His channel, humor and online personality are however amazing and his love for pedals shines through. I still think Wampler or Earthquaker are far more original in their designs though.

I think I'm going to buy one and save it for a few years when my daughter is old enough to put it together, I think it could be a really great father/daughter bonding project.
