Hi 6, Good video. If you go east of where you were fishing tonight, to 16th street, there is a red channel marker on a steel piling. Drift the beginning of the out going tide for fluke. The tide will take you around the island and into the channel, then go back to the marker and start the drift again. Good luck, Mickey

Hi 6, Weekend wake is bad. There is a little channel that runs behind Shooting Island to Cowpens Island. At high tide you can find the channel about 50 yards behind Shooting Island. The water is about 6 ft deep at the west side of the island. As you move west, it will drop to 12 ft. and run to the north east, up to Cowpens Island. It can be a hot spot in June. Take care, Mickey

Wouldnt it just be easier to tie a dropper loop? It also helps the hook stick out from the line.

Peter Scharf Yes it would 100% but I like the little bit of leader to suspend the hook 3 inches from the main line also puts less pressure on main line by distributing the pressure

Night Time is the right time. In this video, I was fishing strictly on the bottom, but I’ve caught them higher up in the water column depending on the time of year.

Great job, way to go. We fished nearby on Sunday - near the bridges - with bloodworms and jigs but were shutout except for a skate (ugh) on a bloodworm. Fished the incoming to slack and then called it after 3 hours. Love your videos, very educational. BTW - What was up with that helicopter going back and forth? Any idea?
