She hit the nail on the head. I had been feeling and experiencing so manny inner bad thoughts about myself and pretty much have always, except the one moment in my life I was the strongest person I have ever been, physically and mentally. For some time now, my health has been gradually getting worse along with my thoughts, and I feel like I can’t control them.

Great show! She is so knowledgeable about the gut. I always learn something new watching her interviews. Self awareness is huge in getting your health back. You can not mindlessly take a pill or do a diet or exercise program without keeping track of what works for you and what does not work. We are all created differently. Keeping a food journal has saved my gut. I now know what foods are my trigger foods, my food sensitivities, and my food allergies by trial and error.... I do not think she mentioned chewing your food well....like 20-30 times. The more you break down the food the easier it is to digest. That has helped me a lot. Walking is great as well!

I have IBS related disease, it's a pain to live with it, I wish I had known few years ago what I know now. But I'm also grateful and feel happy about it, if I wouldn't have gotten ill with Crohn's disease, and haven't been through the darkness I've experienced, I simply wouldn't have gained this knowledge of my body, diet, mind connection. It has changed me in a multitude of different ways. It's funny how when something like that happens we're willing to share it with other people so they can learn from our mistakes. I've noticed this kind of transition in a lot of individuals who have brought some profound value to people all over the world. I feel like it's something like a mission considered by my subconscious side.

The way you think about yourself can affect your health. If you have a bad opinion of yourself, you're much more likely to not take care of yourself because why would you take care of someone who's not important. So you have to start with doing little things that are good for you. This creates a positive feedback loop. With those actions, like going for a walk, you give your brain evidence that you are worthy. Having a more positive image of yourself will motivate you to do even more actions that will be good for you and your health.
@TracySteenMoveDaily5 жыл бұрын
Yes to everything about this video 👏. As a former therapist turned personal trainer, I agree deeply on the main work being self awareness. People always just want an exercise program and a diet to follow. They think that will change them for the long haul, but like your guest, I ask questions and dig deep into my client's history, their story. It tells me everything on why a healthy lifestyle hasn't been sustainable in the first place. We can't compartmentalize just fitness and nutrition, we need to do the deep dive into what wellness looks like as well. Thankyou Tom for the great content❤️
@Piecesoftheshadow5 жыл бұрын
Tracy Steen How the heck do you figure out exactly what your body needs? If just eating healthy isn't enough, how do you figure out what's healthy for you? It's so overwhelming.
@TracySteenMoveDaily5 жыл бұрын
@@Piecesoftheshadow it certainly can be overwhelming. Which is why I think you need to approach it in a 360 way. In terms of food, you need education. You need to figure out what macronutrients are, which foods have high micronutrients on are better for your body type. A lot of that is trial-and-error but you can learn alot off podcasts and reading books. But to me the deeper part of Understanding Nutrition is knowing the why behind it. Why do you eat, why do you overeat, why do you sabotage your eating, why do you mindlessly eat? That's why I love this interview, she highlights that both/and are critical to transformation.

Whatever she has explained is so ingrained in the asian culture. Especially Ayurveda, the teachings in hinduism and buddhism and also other japanese and chinese traditions focuses on the mind and body correlation , sciences is now going back to all the basic teachings that they considered backward life styles. If you really wish to inculcate the things she has said, please try to read about the teachings of ayurveda and buddhism, despite your religion preference or beliefs I encourage you to understand asian culture from an open perspective it is the most advance thing.

Interestingly, before seeing this interview and without anyone ever telling me about forest bathing I had already been preparing to begin walking into the forest. My body naturally feels a deep desire to with the understanding that it will be calming and healing for me for the exact reason that Jillian Teta is mentioning. I also feel it will create a pathway for many answers I seek. Increasingly I heavily feel the forests calling on me, inviting me with open arms for some great intent, so it is interesting to see Jillian not only talk about it, but mention it as not only a common practice, but the one thing she feels people should do that would have the biggest impact on their health and therefore lives. On my way to work I see breathtaking forest-mountains and have taken pictures of them that do them no justice, especially emotionally. I feel the warm energy from the mountains repeatedly inviting me there not only from those forest-mountains, but any forest I have the privilege of driving by or through. I feel we are all connected to nature as it is where we all began and I desperately look forward to beginning my forest bathing very soon as I begin to rebirth.

Hey Bud everyone thinks they are the good guy even when they are hurting others. You can understand people and what drove them to do what they did and then get over it or you can hold the bitterness you clearly have for the rest of your life and be massively limited because of it. Nobody wakes up just to purposely hurt others and while things that happened hurt you probably terribly as a kid there’s still a lot in getting past it and just understanding it even finding sympathy for people who are so mislead that they had to treat you that way. -coming from an ex foster kid / homeless person who made 20k last month ❤️
