OMG Jill, you crazy chickenheaded loon, I love you more than you'll ever know!! Watching this with hubby snoring next to me. You have no idea how close I came to busting out laughing and waking up the whole neighbourhood, ha! They (whoever they is) need to give you your own show!! Seriously! Co-starring all the other hilarious McKeevers!! If you're ever in the Alvin area, let me know, cos we gotta get together! I got diagnosed with lipolymphedema this week, and hubby and I came to the conclusion that me and veganism need to take our flirtatious on-again, off-again relationship to the lifetime commitment level. When I realised that the sialic acid saturating animal products is causing and contributing to all this pain, away it all went. I feel so much better!! Thank GOD hubby is health oriented and loves me so much! My loving family has been huge in their support! Love you, Jillycakes, honey. You make a major, necessary lifestyle change funny, warm, homey, comforting, inviting, and familiar. Not at all scary or weird. I am addicted to your videos!! :) You are a gem. God bless you all.

Hello! Hilly in the UK here. I wanted to make this last night, but only had a ready made no oil vegan caesar dressing in the fridge, so I thought 'why not?!' I loosened it with some pasta water and added the herbs and smoked paprika (I don't have any liquid smoke) and did everything else the same and it was bloomin' delish!! Thanks Jill.

And not only are your recipes awesome, especially for a working mom like me, but I LOVE the bunny ears, chicken hat, dancing and all around silliness. Thank you for being you. You bring a smile to my face almost every day, and the food never disappoints. What a lucky family you have.

+Stormwitch YOU'RE SO SWEET! I'd hug you right now if I could. You let me know how your dinner turns out, how the kids like it too. And thank you for mentioning that you love the bunny ears and silliness. I've been getting feedback to ditch the ears because they distract from the "seriousness of the message" to live plant-based. I say there's plenty of KZbin channels being serious, I'm going to have fun with my audience.

JILL!!! Made this tonight! We loved it. I halved the peas ( I have a hard relationship with peas. Ha) and added no oil fried mushrooms ( had some I needed to use up.) The only thing we would do different and it's a preference thing is use regular pasta and panko crumbs on top. I'm not a lover of the flavor of whole wheat. My husband gave it a strong 8/10 . The cauliflower sauce was delicious! Thanks so much! Side note, I got my 12 lb. bag of soy curls in today!,,,😁

Yummy! I think my husband is ready for me to hurry up and make all of your recipes, because all I keep saying is "oh yeah I'm making that!" on every video!! Hopefully my picky eaters will chow down on this too. I do have a question. My middle little is pretty picky and I find myself trying to figure out dinner for him. What are your suggestions? What does Maggie eat when she doesn't like what's for dinner?
@JillMcKeever9 жыл бұрын
+Suds Life When I plan to make something I know Maggie won't like, I tell her to fend for herself. She knows how to open a can of black beans and heat them up. Sometimes, she'll eat them straight up. Other times, she'll toast up some tortillas to make soft black bean tacos. She's happy to make her own meal. She already makes her lunch, making dinner is no biggy for her. If I make something I want her to try, because it has ingredients she already likes, then I ask her to eat with us. If she's not a fan, she has learned to eat all the parts she likes. She may not eat as much as the rest of us, so she'll make up for it by filling up on fruit. Oh yeah, I make a fruit bowl for back up too.

soy curls are a highly processed food, I wouldn't call them a 'whole food' but then I wouldn't call flour a whole food either so what do I know!
@JillMcKeever7 жыл бұрын
Soy Curls™ are not labeled a whole food, but they are made from whole soybeans and nothing else. The soybeans are soaked in pure spring water (no chlorine or fluorine) and then stirred while cooking which elongates the protein strands. It is similar to what happens when we knead dough in making bread except, of course, Soy Curls™ do not contain gluten. This is what develops the texture so is referred to as texturing. There is nothing added and nothing removed from the soybeans. They are very pure. Then they are dried and packed into bags.
