My brother is a habitual liar. He lies about unnecessary things and his lying has led to serious consequences many times. I can’t stand liars. He’s put a strain on his relationships with the family, even extended family. I keep my distance from him because now when he says something, you never know if it’s true. That’s sad cuz when he really needs help, no one will believe him because he’s cried wolf so many times.

Yeah that is the worst not being able to trust anything a liar says. Once that trust is broken it’s beyond impossible to get back! Especially if they keep doing it and it’s not even necessary! Hope one day he gets the help he needs for that

My favorite movie of his. It's a fun, light-hearted but heartfelt comedy. Plus Maura Tierney is really pretty. About the lying, my mom's #1 rule was always: I don't care what you do, but DO NOT LIE TO ME ABOUT IT. She does not tolerate lying under any circumstances. I've tried it with her (to get out of trouble), and lived to regret it.

15:06 Difference between Fletcher and the other guy is that the other guy is fighting to be with his kids because he genuinely loves them, and he might lose custody of them (we never find out how that case went) but they'll still love him and he's till love them. Fletcher loves his son and wants to be with him but he hasn't fought for him, he's squandered every chance he's had to be with him, so he's losing his son in a more permanent way because if he continues acting like this his son won't want to be with him and might even stop loving him. People say that here he's seeing what's happening to him, that his son is also being taken away from him but what's actually happening is that he's losing him and letting him down and he's realising that watching a man actually make an effort to be with his kids. The worst thing about women like her, women who actually separate their children from their father out of spite or greed is that it's an insult to those women who've had to fight for custody of their children (because for years there was a law that made the children the sole property of the father) or who have left their husbands and taken their children with them because they're scared for both their own safety and the safety of their children. And because women like that give people who say "women are always trying to do that, they drive their husbands to do terrible things by denying him his right to see them" ammunition which they then hurl against women who are actually just trying to keep their children safe (there was a story last year about a woman who left her husband and took the kids because she was scared he'd hurt them, she still was willing to share custody with him but he ended up killing her and their kids before himself, fair amount of people were saying that she drove him to it because they didn't know she was going to share custody). In the case of this movie however, I don't think she'll be able to win without Fletcher, and if they have evidence that she both lied about her age and cheated on her husband that should put some doubt in the jury's mind as to whether or not she's a fit parent though.
