When I was 14 years old, I had a strange, but amazing experience...I was in the classroom with everyone around, talking and laughing, and suddenly I found myself out of space and time, like a witness...I could see myself, others, I could hear everything live...I was observing everything without judging. Then, at 18, I was in clinical death, caused by a severe pain that stopped my heart from beating, and I saw my body on the bed, and I thought "aw, that's my form, here I've been living, in this body", and I felt so light and at peace with everything, a feeling I can't compare to anything. I also heard a voice that told me to take it easy, and it was so kind and patient, like a parent talking to his child. When the doctors woke me up, I started crying, feeling that pain again, and the first thing I said was "why didn't you let me go home?" I can't erase this from my mind, because after that, I started to believe in something...And I know I'm still a fool, but it means a lot to me to be given a second chance to live. I just wanted to share this with someone 🤍

This is how it works, exactly. I got it; I lost it. And the key to having it come back is to let of trying to make it happen. When you do, it comes back on its own, without effort. And it will stay as long as it stays, for however long that it is. One of the major important points to realize is, once you have an awakening, once you know who you are, beyond name and form, that knowledge never leaves you. It's a done deal.

Here is the problem as I see it. Eckart got it and didn't lose it. I remember getting "it" or rather I felt like it was where I realized that nothing mattered and I was just kind of there, with no attachments and feeling this wonderful peace of not being connected anymore. But then what happened is a thought came in. That thought was about the election that hadn't happened yet and I had a choice to stay where I was or to go to that thought. And I chose to go to the thought and I didn't realize that that thought was the ego and eventually the ego took me over again . So what makes or made Eckart stay in that place and completely stop identifying with the ego and me me go back to it? That is what I want to know. I think his shift was greater than mine. I've also identified fear as something that is stopping me.

As I said in my post, there are ways to be able to let go of the story. A shortcut one can use is with NLP. I learned one to stop the inner war. Since then, I've had a lot of peace in my mind and if the voices start to come back, I know how to stop them and I can within seconds. It's quite amazing once you know how. The trouble with spiritual practice is it often takes time to learn these things - if you ever learn them at all. NLP offers another, faster option. And there are many more options than what I've written here.

As long as there is someone there to "get it" or "lose it", this will continue to go on. But the thing is, we cannot really lose it, because it is what we are! It is when we take ourselves to be the ego we can experience losing it. Both the experience of getting it and losing it is perceived, right? What is it perceived by? Can that which is perceiving both getting it or losing it be lost?

My awakening happened 2 years ago. I now know that I was in some sort of a depression my whole life, but after my awakening, that old life feels like it belonged to someone else. The pure joy and amazement you get from this is unlike anything I ever felt before. I just want to help everyone feel this way.

I thought I understood this when I first watched it, but I didn't. I understood what he was saying but I didn't really feel what he was feeling. Then just a few moments ago, it clicked. I started laughing uncontrollably because I couldn't believe it. It was the most absolutely beautiful experience and I felt so connected to the universe. Whats up. I saw the number 333 every day for a year, to the point where I thought I was going insane. It all started when I prayed and asked God to show me he was real. It was a year of crazy "coincidences" and synchronicity, and it ultimately lead to me to eliminate the word coincidence from my dictionary. My favorite musical artist even came out with an album titled 333 during this time. Shortly after his album came out, I was looking in the mirror one day, really closely, in total amazement of my own existence, and I noticed that there was a word on my eye. In that moment I discovered I was born with the word "mind" written on my eye, In perfect English. My pupil dots the eye of the word, and its quite unbelievable.. that was the moment for me. It all made sense to me.. I felt compelled to tell you this because of your account name. Its quite remarkable to find people from around the world that come to similar conclusions from similar events yet never come into contact with eachother. So I always try to reach out to people when I see that number or when the topic of oneness comes up. Tommy Caldwell That's really cool and I agree that it's awesome we all share the same experience. With the internet, it has evolved our consciousness on another level. Funny you ask about the number actually. I wrote it because it's three number threes. If I had to write it again I would probably write it with nine "3"s since there would be a three groups, of three number "3"s. So there would be 3 levels if you know what I mean? That's why this number has a lot of meaning to me. It's almost like looking at fractals. The moment I started thinking of things like this number was probably the time I gained a new perspective on thinking. Sorry for the late response.

When this realization hit me I went into some kind of trance, I was no longer me any more, I felt myself everywhere in everything and perfect peace and love. I did not blink or swallow for about 40 minutes tears were running down my shirt my dog was licking my face and dinner was burning but I could not stop laughing and I was so filled with bliss. For ten days I stayed like this and barely ate, I wrote everything down I could, it was like I finally understood absolutley everything. Then one morning it was gone. Now I am trying to learn more about buddhism to sustain that experience and its working. We are all meant for this.

I'm so happy for him, I'll never forget the night I woke up to the nature of my own existence. I had planned out my suicide and over the course of two weeks I loved more than I ever have and became very in touch to the "watcher" behind my eyes and I was at peace with my decision and even understood that I didn't need to go through with it but I was curious and still holding on to some desperation And on the night I was going to "die" I was talking to a girl I've loved all my life and we were falling in love with each other, something I've always wanted I was thinking about the comedian, Bill Hicks as well and what he stood for And the band Tool as well I was granted forgiveness and love, and an expansive understanding of all things... but I still didn't know what death would be like I only had my guesses of what it could be but I knew it would be amazing I shot myself up with a lot of fentanyl that night but survived And when I woke I knew I was ALIVE and I told the girl I loved her and my life has been wonderful ever since If you read this, thank you and I love you

this happened when I was about 8 at a bus stop. I looked at life from without. not from within but from without. I was in time and space but I was looking into it from the outside. I asked "what life was all about" in a fascinated sincere way and then my vantage point was not at the bus stop. I was something else looking in for the first time. I then realized I am not my body , or my thoughts. All that at 8yrs old

I have just been through my own awakening after intense trauma. This video is spot on. Already after that first moment of realizing "me" it has been lost and found several times. Each time it comes back though, if you study yourself and reflect really deeply on wanting that as your goal...I feel we can in fact live in an Eckhart Tollian world one day. Exactly correct. The thought of "losing it" is just that. When we give up trying to find our way back it (almost) magically appears. There is so much power in letting go (surrender) and by doing so it can transport us back to that place of inner peace, quickly.

It happened to me I called it the bigger me I felt like I knew everything, I was apart of everything and everything was apart of me. I was fully conscious in this earth body and also fully conscious in the bigger me. Had exactly the same thing. Took me years of absorbing stuff from books and hearing what others were saying, before one day all the ideas just fell into one another, like a sun forming from a cloud of particles and igniting with a blast. Very cool moment. Wasn't even trying to work it out, could've been thinking about anything. Meditation is a good bet if you want to stay mindful and absorbed by what you are actually doing.

I love these sort of moments. There was one time I felt like it was okay for me to be just who I am and not be self-conscious about it becuase that's the kind of person I came to be and it's still as normal as anybody else on Earth. But the feeling didn't last. It might sound like common sense but when one understands it in also an aesthetical way rather than just intellectually, it gives a unique feeling.

I know that some esoteric sources like to be negative about Eckhart Tolle's teaching. Simply, I will say, it is inspired, not original, nothing is ;) I have rarely seen other teachers with an 8 part series on Tao Te Ching. This is not pop-spiritually. This is it. The Source teaching. We are all emanations from the source. All the haters can hate, but if someone like Oprah or you follow this path, you will be confronted with the death of your ego, it is not an easy path. This is not a water downed New Age treatment. IMHO and experience, this is the real deal and its taking hold because we need it now. I am encouraged to see people like Jim turning their backs on empty disconnected living. Peace and much Love.

I had this happening twice this year for a few hours during an extremely painful relationship break up. I am grateful there are so many with open hearts .. So many who are blessed with awakening...it is simply beautiful to see..!! And Jim? I had the good fortune of meeting him many years ago and I could really see HIM, but he hadn't yet been introduced to himself...lol. Now I look at this being..this joyful brother of ours, and i still see HIM..except magnified as big as the universe...since way back in the days of sleeping in the back of a van with his family..to a TRUE member of the biggest family of all! Well done Jim...not everyone in Hollywood has the balls to just let it go and BE... I wish you ALL presence and peace! And Eckhart...you are a giant amongst men..and a light eternal! Thank you for being a teacher, and for reminding people to LOOK... Always with love and joy...

Good message Jim. Seems you started early on yoyr still path of oneness. One day, out of the blue, I snapped. Not in anger but out of a spell. I awoke. Feeling was uplifting.. Since then, I have been reading and watching vidoes to understand it all. Eckhart Tolle is the best person I have learned from. Sometimes he is deep but eventually I get it. Thank you/Meegwetch.

Yes, Jim, I understand totally. To me, a sign of someone Awakening is JOY, and there is so much laughter in Joy! Now that I'm awake, I laugh more in a day than I used to laugh in a year. And someone could insult me to my face, and I would just know they were looking in a mirror and have compassion for them. ONENESS is so beautiful. You rock! I'd like to have you for a grandson! Buddhabastard is so very in sync with my heart, too.
