In 2012 I was at the height of chronic depression and anxiety. It was the first time I contemplated taking my own life. I'm happy to say I've survived more than 8 years since with many successful experiences and joyous moments, in part, due to this video and the words of Jim Carrey and Eckhart Tolle. For all those struggling with mental health, you get through this life with less pain and more happiness through understanding the mind and giving negative emotions less validity.

"ego" is a word. The Ego is important in that it does give us a unique perspective and we must take time to let that Ego melt away (meditation) so that we can be renewed. When we come back into "reality" our "ego" will be reconfigured and renewed if we have allowed that to happen. We are not the "ego" and the "ego" is not us. It is simply a part of us.
