I don't always agree with Jim on everything, but I'm so glad he talked about the backstage segment thing, I'm shocked nobody ever talks about it...it has been done so much in WWE that people have grown used to it and forget 1) how stupid it is 2) how WWE started this backstage scenes thing that are like a soap opera or reality show where people are CLEARLY IN FRONT OF A CAMERA and act like it's not there, not even like they know there's camera but are just ok with it, because at times they do and say things like they don't know somebody they're talking about could hear them just by watching the show....it's STUPID.

What really baffles me the most about WWE is, They're the biggest promotion in the Wrestling industry, the amount of years behind them, The talent at their disposal, The Billions of dollars they have.... And yet, This is the best they can give us? This is the best their writers can come up with? Previous years of excellent wrestling, making superstars, providing unforgettable moments in Pro wrestling history, and Now, this is what it has been reduced to! As a life long fan, it's just sad. It seems they have far too many writers, and none of them have a clue how to write wrestling. - And then they have their "development center", I wonder what they're teaching their students, because I don't see much Wrestling Psychology taking place during WWE matches these days.

So, I haven't watched WWE in forever and switched to NJPW. I listened to a bit of this and decided "let me have a look so I can be objective," right? Immediately, I too don't understand why Corbin dresses like he's going on a hot date at a snazzy New Orleans restaurant. The tape looks......weirdly placed. The table-avoidances looked weird and awkward, choppy, to where they interrupted the flow of the action and what's worse is they got it right at one point where Corbin nicely slid under the ropes. That was smooth and slick while the other times just looked like they skidded to a stop and, as you said, gingerly avoided the table like they're playing a vertical version of The Floor is Lava. The first thing where he ran into the stairs looked pretty brutal and was well-timed whereas after that I felt it would have been better to go back in the ring and maybe do some devastating big man wrestling moves instead of driving the stairs down your throat. Basically, yes to everything Jim said.

I wonder what Cornette would think of the original plan for Ricochet's debut plan. Supposedly, it was supposed to be Balor vs Ricochet in either a non-title match or an IC open challenge. HHH nixed that because 1) he didn't want Balor to lose the night after winning his title, 2) he also didn't want Ricochet to lose his debut match on tv, and 3) he didn't think it would work with a face v face dynamic I'm not sure which would've been better. I think what we got could've been booked way better, and I think the original match had a chance of being good as well, but I'm curious which would have a better chance

I havent watched Raw in a long time, but one of the most disturbing things that immediately turned me off when I recently checked it out, were commericals in the MIDDLE of the match. Un-thinkable. Couldnt believe it. Ironically, coincidentally, the 3hr program also has 2 full hours of talking....theres a correlation and remedy there.
