Jack Perry was the perfect goon for the Elite. He is already a nepobaby so he never needed money so he can take all the heat while his Buckeroos got what they wanted. Tony's side of the story is equally as hilarious by telling Dave, "One of my employees is trying to contact me and I'm just ghosting him until I feel better."

Don't forget that the Bucks made sure Punk was already in a bad mood at that show. The head of travel is a close friend of theirs and, surprise surprise, Punk arrived in London with no one waiting to pick him up and take him to the venue. So he has to find his own way there, probably mobbed by fans at every turn. Yet the head of travel wasn't fired for this? Tell me, how many companies would find out their top money earner was treated like this and not fire the person responsible for dropping the ball?

Think about everything else that happened that fateful day in England. Punk was given a number to call when arriving to England for a ride to Wembley that was invalid, leading Punk to have to take the tube being helped by fans to Wembley (which for their biggest star is straight up embarressing). That would of pissed anyone off to begin with then he had this nobody telling him tio cry him a river. They knew exactly what they were doing, they knew exactly what mood Punk would be in and how he would react. Shame for them that it lead to Punk making more money for and from the bigger company while AEW continues to suck 😂 It was a ploy, a plot a plan!

Meltzer had a hand in Punk leaving too. He constantly painted Punk in a bad light from the moment Punk joined AEW and even went so far as to falsely report certain things for which he had to later come out and formally apologise. He also served as a megaphone for certain talent that didn't like Punk. They could have done with somebody like CM Punk right now but unfortunately they were willing to die on Mt. Jungle Jackoff

Bingo. For someone who played an indirect role in the creation of AEW, Meltzer has done more to harm it than most people. He actively went out of his way to target Punk because his little flippy friends didn’t like that Punk was pushing a style that didn’t involve the Cirque du Soleil tumbling garbage that doesn’t draw money. And that whisper campaign when he never even bothered to talk to Punk was amateur BS. Meltzer is a hack. Always has been and always will be.

“But, but we signed Okada! And Ospreay!” 😆 All the free agent signings in the world don’t matter if you book your promotion like ass. All WWE did in the last six months was sign just two noteworthy free agents: Punk and Jade Cargill. And they’ve been hotter than since the Attitude Era because of good booking and storytelling and maximizing their roster’s potential. AEW hasn’t even come close to that. They should’ve had more stars by now, but they haven’t. “Banger matches” alone is not what will get them the money they need.

Punk wanted out. It's not reported as much, but when he touched down in London there was no one to pick him up. Imagine any major business whose top earner (who is very recognizable to people on the street) touches down in a foreign country and no one is there to pick him up to take him where he needs to be, and now he has to find his own way there and deal with mobs of people recognizing him. Oh, did I mention that the head of travel is a good buddy of the Bucks, and he wasn't disciplined over this so-called "mistake"? Punk was already furious when he got to the venue and was screaming at Tony about how much he hated AEW, and you can't blame him. Tony had sent a message to him loud and clear that it was ok for the Bucks to fuck with him with no repercussions.
