I'm not sure she would have enough clout to threaten to quit if she didn't like a segment to get her way. The "Baker should have quit because the Tooth and Nail match was an affront to the wrestling business" comment was ridiculous too; while Britt is still a dentist, she'd presumably be losing tons of money even if she was able to get a job for a smaller promotion. Besides, I don't recall Jim quitting over being asked to take part in the Starrcade '86 Scaffold Match despite the premise being terrible from both safety and entertainment perspectives (being as you can't do much while fighting on the scaffolding) or when Memphis was presenting Lord Humongous or (if I remember correctly) a guy who supposedly came from another planet as wrestlers.

At least with Kelly Kelly and friends, sure it didn't look like Eddie and Chavo putting on a clinic, but they at least followed basics and there was at least in my mind, notable improvement and don't recall them injuring anyone.

Brian is absolutely correct about Big Swole. I have been watching wrestling for 30 years, and I can honestly say she is the worst I have ever seen in a major company. Her matches truly scare me, as I am concerned for the people she works with. They changed her finishing move because she kept botching her "Dirty Dancing" finisher. They gave her Dean Malenko's Tiger Driver/Cloverleaf combo, since it is nearly impossible to botch. She botched it three weeks in a row on Dark. She released the Tiger Driver early on two occasions and dropped her opponent on their head, and then fell over while applying the Cloverleaf on the third occasion. I cannot for the life of me understand why they continue to put her on tv, let alone push her. There is no way in hell that I would risk injury to top talent by putting them in a match with her. Hell, I wouldn't risk injury to ANY talent by putting them in a match with her.

I'm curious as to why the "Tooth And Nail" match even existed. Swole wants Baker really bad, Baker is ducking her, Baker is sending in other people to fight Swole for her so...Bunkhouse brawl? Boiler room brawl? A cage match? A lumberjack match? A strap match. A ring of fire? A falls count anywhere? A Baker can't run and or gain a numerical advantage match? Second, if the tooth and nail match had to exist, why wasn't it the dentist proposing it? Did Swole get a dental MD out of her Airforce service or something? Thirdly? Why was it a movie match? Yeah, I get it, Swole's not that good. So lets take her even further away from the thing she is trained to do but doesn't do so well. Just put them in the ring and have Baker beat up, stretch and otherwise abuse Swole for most of it. What, Baker's supposed to be afraid of Swole? So have someone else outside the ring, Reba perhaps, trip Swole so Baker can get an unfair advantage. Or maybe have Baker take some hits then take a count out loss, DQ loss, whatever, leading to the Baker cannot run away and or get help match.

Compare ALL those things to even 20 years ago. AEW is not anywhere near as successful as wrestling used to be during the Monday Night War, to say nothing about how successful wrestling was in the territory days. There's a reason that wrestling has been in steady decline, and a large part of it is due to just how silly it's gotten. The ONLY sport in America where more people USED TO watch it than do now.

@@jesuszamora6949 I think a large part of it is how TV, and media works. They say only 6k-9k watch watch live from Nelson reaserch. Which doesn't count next DVR, online downloads, foreign audience, and streams AEW nearly has 2 million subscribers, NXT,and AEW have beaten RAW in the UK ratings. All TV declined at the advent of the DVR, and the declined even more when streaming services developed. The wrestling industry isn't as dead as you think. Is more like the casual fans can watch whatever they want to when they want to, and why would they pick wrestling over something that they're more interested in. She isn't good enough, to be the next big thing in wrestling, tbh. Just bleeding and some ocasional thumbtacks, isn't cutting it, tbh. People comparing her to Charlotte, is ludicrous. Ok, her mic skills are decent, but that's about it. Bland title reign and downplaying her opponents, which are better than her, almost all of them, in-ring skills and psychology wise. For me, I would rate her a 5 or 6/10.
