That Tori Wilson/Sable issue of Playboy was one of my prized possessions as a kid. I had a neighbor who must've had a monthly subscription and he either ended up moving or passing away, but the Playboy's still came in his mailbox for almost 2 years. needless to say I ended up having almost 2 years worth of Playboys. I knew it was illegal to take someone's mail, but being an 11-13 yr old, I couldn't just let them go to waste. 😂😂😂 (Still a damn good issue)y

Chyna on the independent circuit before WWF was a girl trying to wrestle on the mat. Chyna in WWF was a bunch of forearms. Chyna after WWF in Japan was a bunch of gymnastics. Her going after the men of WWF and NJPW was a good thing for women's wrestling though, in the sense that any promotion with a women's division could had no problem drawing attention to it so long as they could find a Chyna sized woman and kept her in said division. All the body builders who tried to imitate Chyna's Intercontinental run were forgotten, except for Nicole Bass.

The WWE / Playboy deal didn't come into effect until Torrie in 2003. Chyna got her deal on her own. It seemed like WWF was looking to have The Kat pose in Playboy, but Chyna did her own deal around the time and I think that kind of ruined WWE's hopes for The Kat. Sable did the '99 April cover while in the WWF and then shot the 2nd cover but by the time it was released, she was gone from the WWF and they couldn't use the name 'Sable' on the cover, so they used the name 'Rena' instead. Others have said there was talk about getting the WWF Title, but I think it was just talk and it was in 1999, not 2000. I think others have also alluded to the fact that Chyna was maybe wanting to move up and compete for the WWF Title at some point, but Vince said it wouldn't be credible to have her in that scene if she ended up doing Playboy. Plus, with Rocky, HHH, Big Show, Kane, Taker, Angle, Jericho, Benoit and others all in that scene around that time, Chyna just wouldn't have fit into the title picture. I always thought she and Eddie should've had a mini-feud over the tag titles though. That could've been. No TLC quality matches, obviously, but could've been a fun mid-card feud for a bit.

I don't believe that she was offered the WWF World title, especially with the Rock, Triple-H, and Kurt Angle in the title picture. Besides that, she was in the Intercontinental title picture at the time. She won the WWF Women's World title in April 2001, which was the top title in the women's division. If Vince gave Chyna or any other woman the WWF World title, it would totally destroy the belt's credibility. I wasn't a big fan of Chyna winning the Intercontinental belt either because of the same reason. I found it ridiculous that Harvey Whippleman won the Women's title and several women winning the hardcore (now 24/7 title) also. Nothing against Chyna personally, but the women and men should stay in their respective title divisions.

I never saw Chyna becoming the World Champion of that company because it will most likely be a huge backlash. Having no top guy in the company would hurt the business and the men's division. Not taking anything away from Chyna, she had the look and the believability to wrestle the men, and it is somewhat preferred for her to win a midcard men's title. When Tessa Blanchard won the World Title on Impact Wrestling a lot of people didn't agree with that decision most likely Booker T. and Ryback. I felt it would've been better to put the belt on Jordynne Grace because she has the size and did powerlifting. It is a better idea, but it can hurt the company because there was no top guy in the company, it would've been better for one of the women to compete for the X Division title. When booking an intergender match ideally the female wrestling have to have the look of a bodybuilder or a plus size build, but the indie promotions today have gone too far with it and put in smaller women to wrestle the men and when the men lose to them cleanly can hurt their career (depending if they are built has a serious competitor and not for comical relief). I thought those type of matches would be very rare and intergender wrestling would occur once or twice a decade and wouldn't be so memorable unless someone brings it up. However, normalizing intergender wrestling and putting the men's World Title on a woman would be blasphemy in the wrestling business and a number of fans would not watch the product.
