I'm jealous you still have a Fuddruckers. Mine closed down during the pandemic. Last year I drove past the building and it said they were doing a liquidation sale. I decided to go in to see what was actually being liquidated and I found out it was actually all the stuff in the restaurant including supplies, signage, furniture and memorabilia that had been on display there. I was kinda surprised since it had been a few years between the time they closed and the time they did this liquidation. I bought a bowling trophy just so I could say I owned something that had been there.

One of the best restaurant chains that I remember going to that no longer exists was the Old Country Buffet. Going to one of those places was like walking in Vegas: so much glamour and variety with all the food choices, you could be as glutenous as you wanted to be, and it was like between $6-$8 per person. If I ever got a chance to go, I always went for the Mac n Cheese first. Then it would be a meat course afterwards, then maybe a small bowl or two of dessert. Ah, the good ole days of the buffet 😋 Also, I was laughing my ass off with Corny's meltdown of the 30 Burger menu 🤣🤣

Hehe..... Corny talking about Jerry's.....memories of my years in Bluegrass. Notably, the Jerry's right off the Eastern Parkway exit on I-65 (Exit 131 or Exit 132). When my mom and I would go up to Louisville to visit her sister, that's the exit we'd take, and we'd often eat at that Jerry's. Just last Friday, I'd passed by there on my way home from Corpus Christi, and my heart sank when I saw the Jerry's had been converted to a Denny's. Memories...

The Wendy's/Judy's thing made me remember when I worked at the Papa John's commissary, here in Louisville. There was a smaller chain that opened, called Pizza Magia. And the guy that started Pizza Magia had worked with John Schnatter. Their pizza was just like Pappa John's, and the dough was the same exact recipe. Needless to say, there was a lawsuit and Pizza Magia disappeared. I had actually went to a grand opening of a nearby Pizza Magia and they gave out ink pens. I took my pen to work to use it, and a guy I worked with, got mad. Lol! He asked why I went to their grand opening, and I told him they had free pizza, and there was a wizard and a clown. Pappa John's didn't have a wizard or a clown.

Jim makes sense. It's proper name was "Judy's Home Style Hamburgers & Fixin's" . Judy's even had chili con carne, apple pies and the like Wendy's fries. I spent my early years in eastern Florida in the early 70s and in addition to McDonalds, there was Crystal's, SteaknShake and the ubiquitous KFC. McDonalds was often called 'Ronald McDonalds' to describe the restaurant not just the clown. When Col Sanders sold KFC to a younger man, Sanders revisited KFC and was disgusted by what the food had become. He said I dont know what that stuff is. When we moved to Maryland we didn't have no White Castle but we had Little Tavern which my mother wouldn't eat at because she said the employees would often spit in the food. Thanks for the memories guys!😃

My parents are probably why Wendy’s stopped the salad bar nation wide.
