If they could empty all the skeletons in Vince's closet, that would be enough to keep that show running for longer than South Park.
@stevenhawkins5058
@stevenhawkins5058 4 ай бұрын
I doubt they will. I know everyone wants to see that but I doubt darkside would do it. There is too much legal shit involved and very few people involved will want to talk about it publicly. All it would be is nothing but talking heads with nobody with real inside knowledge as to what happened. We will probably get a documentary at some point in the future, maybe when Vince is dead and enough time has passed, but it ain’t happening anytime soon. At least nothing credible worth watching.

It's also hard to think of someone as a victim when she was okay with the arrangement for years and kept coming back accepting gifts, until she was no longer able to ride the gravy train and she had to find a new way to monetize that relationship. Back when our culture was somewhat sane we called someone like that a prostitute, not a victim. As as someone who suffered actual SA it pisses me off to no end that emasculated cucks are defending this gold digging piece of trash like she's completely innocent of any wrongdoing. I don't feel sorry for anyone involved in this story.

I can. Something that's always struck me about Vince is being an arsehole & in control isn't enough, he needs everyone around him to know he's that guy! It's too easy to pass it off as he's the boss so needs to establish authority, the amount of times down the years he's done needless, pity af things (or made talent do them on-screen) that serve no purpose other than to remind everyone he's the king is too numerous to list. I'm convinced there's a part of him right now that seriously believes people are seeing all this & thinking he's the man the same way people idolize Andrew Tate. The guy has a deadly combination of ambition, narcissism, immaturity & insecurity, but it's the last one that's the killer because it won't allow him to EVER let go. There's always new ways to beat his chest & prove to everyone how bleeding dominate he is, he's got little man syndrome.

This really hurts my heart as an OG wrestling fan. I’ve always tried to maintain a certain level of respect for Vince McMahon but this is beyond the pale. It’s a shame for his legacy and everything he’s done for the business, it’s a shame on his family’s name and it’s a shame for all of the fans who have looked up to him all of these years and put him up on a pedestal as somebody to be admired. If only he didn’t become an absolute fucking decrepit, decaying, freak monster with no control over his sick sexual proclivities, then the McMahon name would always be synonymous with building the wrestling industry into what it is. Now what will it mean? I doubt that Vince has even thought about how he’s just reversed all of the work that he’s so obsessively and robotically worked toward his entire life. The man is left with no meaning to his life…

Let's stop acting like she was a delicate little flower... she wasn't. Where Vince screwed up ROYALLY, was ceasing paying her, per the agreement. What a monumental mistake. Vince, like in the past, thought he could non-pay her like he did agreements for wrestling promotions or XFL-related stuff, he'd sign a final check for settlement, and it'd go away. That's not how post-Me Too works. Vince is fried. Finished. Done. Even if he settles, he'll be guilty forever. Bischoff was right... no one will ever take his call ever again. Unfortunately, a lot of the women around the wrestling promotions whether wrestlers or not, have been used as currency going back generations The allegations aganst Moolah seem convincing depending on whom you listen too. Missy Hyatt's high rolling was pretty notorious. I've often wondered about women like Sherri Martel as well. Some women were well into it, others accepted it came with their job, and some were no doubt forced. Vince is a hold over from those times, and in a wrestling world full of deviants and degenrates. He might well be the worst. He's clearly a disturbed dude, his early life was awful. He never dealt with it properly, and channelled all of that negative energy into becoming a God. Jim mentions roid use and concussions, I don't think they're big factors in this. I just think its a case of Vince, and others believing in their own invulnerability. Absolute power, corrupts absolutely, and Vince was corrupted from the beginning.

I don't know why people are so surprised. Rita Chatterton spoke out about Vince DECADES ago and nobody listened to her. Bret's flawed logic of : "why would he go with a dog like her?" People choose victims based of availability, accessibility, susceptibility and willingness. Rita spoke out and nobody listened. There was also the masseuse in Florida in the early 90s too. Vince, was a victim of abuse in his youth and he's repeated the same behaviour towards others. Not defending him, he's unable to break his loop.

Bret Hart called Rita a “dog?!” Wtf Bret?! That’s so tacky and gross. I’ve seen photos of that woman when she was younger. She was an attractive lady, but even if she weren’t, that’s so not the fucking point. “Ugly” women are also raped and abused. Wtf. That’s very disappointing to hear that Bret said that.

That was a horrific situation, I do remember watching a video of Vince McMahon on the Phil Donahue Show and the ring boy scandal was a big topic of discussion on that show. But it was another one of those awful situations in which Vince resolved it by firing (temporarily) Patterson, throwing some money around, and it gets swept under the rug. He then rehires Patterson after a year or so, showing how little Vince cared about the victims in that situation.
@PApro

@@PApro From what I’ve researched about the situation, it is of my opinion that the reason why no real consequences came out of that scandal was Murray Hodgson coming forward and accusing Pat Patterson of sexual harassment at the same time the ring boy scandal first came to light. It muddied the waters because it was later revealed that Hodgson made a career out of suing ex employers for the same accusations. Hodgson was essentially a con man and his own lawyer dropped him as a client when it was revealed that it wasn’t his first sexual harassment lawsuit against a former employer. Hodgson’s suit against the WWF was not only dismissed, but the judge even called Hodgson a habitual liar and a con man. Because Hodgson had no credibility and was just looking for a payday, I believe that, unfortunately, it wrongfully diminished credibility from the very real victims of Patterson who actually were telling the truth. That’s just my opinion. It’s why Patterson was later rehired and no justice ever came from a horrific and disturbing situation.

I really appreciate how much of Vince's past that Brian brought up. As this story continues, I hope that things like the ring boy scandal, Pat Patterson's casting couch and all of the alleged coverups that happened around the late Ashley Massaro get reevaluated as well. That's sort of BS though because if someone says "look how Chris Benoit was in some of his storylines and even his real life domestic abuse charges that were filed but dropped..." everyone has amnesia and seems to not believe Chris could have done what he done. Yall can't pick and choose when to apply the wwe character and life issues for the true testament of a person's character and then not do it for another. You maybe don't feel that way personally but alot of folks in the wrestling community have talked like that.

I gotta agree with Brian. Corny knew Vince at the one time he was an adult. Rather, the one time Vince HAD to be an adult. Corny was there when the Monday Night War was in full swing, the one time in the business where WWF was in real danger of going out of business. Contrast this with Dutch, who seemed disgusted, but nowhere near as shocked. Dutch worked with Vince long after all challenge had been cleared aside, allowing Vince to be nice and comfy.
