People claim to want honesty, yet they can't handle hearing the truth when it makes them look bad. It's even crazier because, in most cases, they knew the truth before they were told.

Somehow Moxley is getting praise for saying something others have BEEN saying to AEW for awhile now.
@notgonnapay

Because AEW fans are lemmings and need to learn everything through groupthink. They made excuses for that kid breaking his leg, for leaving people knocked out cold in the ring, and for Omega and Moxley getting dropped on his head. But now that one of the wrestlers who they consider to be ‘one of the best’ is saying it, suddenly it’s a valid point.

That why WWE style is mainly done to prevent the guys from doing so much nonsense when it isn’t needed. The WWE style is there to ensure the guys can do the matches night after night with trying to prolonging the long term damage to their bodies. I had to laugh that the Drunk Hobo wants better concussion protocols now that he can't make an ass of himself every night he wrestles. Remember the "Banned and Restricted moves" List they released just before Blood & Guts. Oh yeah AEW had hoped we would forget. Even if AEW did have better protocols, most of the roster would ignore them because they want to be "Bad Ass" Like Rocky. They have to get all their shit in hopes Daddy Meltzer will give them a 5-star rating.

I guess Hangman missed that memo when he went full Bram Stoker. Any competent company with a TV deal worth 10s of millions hanging in the balance would of had Page's bag's packed when he hit the curtain. Ironic how all the AEW marks out there were the one's bitching about the cocaine spot being bad taste, but the sharing of bodily fluids in their little fantasy land is cutting edge. Guess it really helps having Daddy Khan's NFL/Football billions as some insurance.

It's okay when everyone else is getting hurt trying to impress Tony, except him. "In prowrestling, it's hard to tell what's real and what's fake." As a fan, I know for a fact, that if you just keep laying on the ground, a ref will come up to you, look where your eyes are pointing, and then hold your hand and expect you to squeeze back to know if you're really okay or not. And, even then he can still call the match. He can throw up his arms in an X shape and they'll bring people out to help you. You don't need a really experienced wrestler and a doctor there. You just need to give refs the power to do their job without repercussions after the fact. He worked in WWE for Pete's sake. That's their protocols.

At least Mox gets it now. It's just a damn shame the EVPs and Tony won't. The saddest part is there might have been one guy besides maybe punk on that roster who would have pushed for that on the roster and likely could've pulled it off and made some substantial changes and instead Tony had to let him go and he's now the biggest baby face of the competition

Moxley has always been an indie death match wrestler at heart and he's taken much worse damage throughout his career. The difference is now he's rich, married to a babe and is getting older. He's worried for the first time in his career about his health and that doesn't really gel with his "badass" death match persona? 🤔

Strong Style is shit too, but this style is basically "wrestling parody". These people do not even know how to hurt others, they are just imitating moves they saw on YT or TV. Strong Style are just two nobodies hitting each other in Japan and then you realize boxing exists.

Why didn’t they go for the small package? Excellent question. Glad you asked. They didn’t know how to. It’s an organization of people whose philosophy is “get my sh!t in”. So, all they know is trying to make the spectacle happen. They live for the spot. Fenix and Moxley didn’t have enough sense to do the small thing that was sensible because they both always want the big spot and the “ThIs iS aWeSoMe” chant.

That match that Mox got injured reminds me of the one and only time I've ever gone hunting. A duck started flying from the ground, I shot, it landed, rolled, and started flying again so I shot it again and everyone started laughing because the duck was so full of lead that it wasn't edible anymore.

Moxley's idea is similar to how the NRL (National Rugby League) here in Australia does it, all teams have there own individual medical team but there's also a doctor hired by the NRL whos job is to watch out for concussions that watches and can pull players off for concussion tests if a player has direct head contact or is showcasing symptoms.
