I usually take these things with a grain of salt but there was an AMA with an anonymous AEW wrestler on 4chan in January (I don't use that site but I've heard some of the posts) and honestly, I think it might have been legit as some of the stuff he was saying appeared to stack up (he said he'd heard Samoa Joe had been released again....a day before it was publicly announced....). He also said he'd heard through the grapevine from some of the old NXT talent that there's a VERY real possibility that HHH is a free agent sooner rather than later and that the seemingly sudden and hostile takeover (no pun intended) of NXT is absolutely as reported, a direct shot at him. I mean he was competitive with Undertaker at WrestleMania in a Hell In A Cell match.... They dubbed him "the best in the world" then proceeded to have him beat up Kevin Owens, Miz, & other better/younger (by several decades) wrestlers. He was the ring leader of Raw Underground. He even roasted & demasculated Braun Strowman for a few months. So what about the Rumble wasn't in line with how his character had been portrayed in the last few years? Of course he thought he could come in there and whoop Brock Lesnar.

When he first came back in Detroit years ago it was a great moment. Nobody had seen or heard from him in years. Now that he's back all he does is throw 50 fake punches and tries to jump from somewhere high in the arena to get a pop. Whenever I see him now it is just sad. He needs to be more in a Vince McMahon type of character. Like how his dad was when he was his age and wrestling. He shouldn't portray himself as a great wrestler, just as a boss that's trying to wrestle. If he does that then I will get behind him again. Would be more entertaining.

When Shane and HHH are being removed well.. that just says a lot. Either only Stephanie will have say once Vince goes or WWE will really be sold. Hard to imagine why they'd want to sell. I think it is entirely possible Vince knows at this point nobody from his family can keep WWE afloat in the corporate world. That fantasy they all lived until not too long ago is over. And maybe it is better to sell it, get his kids some stock, some extra millions, maybe a good office position for HHH who at least knows the business well by this point, and then retire. Rather than leaving it to HHH and Stephanie and watch them get completely fucked. Actually that makes so much sense, maybe Vince doesnt even care Nick Khan will fuck him over a bit, he knows he needs him to seal the deal and he is already thinking beyond this and into his retirement. It has gotta be like this, Vince is smart when it comes to the business side.

@gigistephens46332 жыл бұрын
Shane was "semi fired" most likely for basically botching the entire men's rumble match. Of course, it didn't help when Kofi botched his elimination, and the final 4 was a joke, and Mcintyre was treated like jobber against Brock with possibly the most short lived final elimination between two superstars ever. It was just way too scatter brained to have ever worked, and I just cant believe nobody saw that as if they were all on coke when planning it. The Female rumble was pretty good other than the way Ronda came out of nowhere and won it similar to how Becky beat Bianca to regain the title, and how fan favorites like Lita and Bianca didn't have bigger moments. I was excited when Michelle McCool came back and had a significant amount of time though.. God does she still got it and is as hot as ever.. So yeah, what killed the rumble was basically how superstars were underutilized and guest appearances were overutilized. And all I really learned was if the WWE wants to be great again, they need to re-inject the veterans back into the game, but give them the proper roles to make it all seem sensible. The WWE simply isn't going to get by on the talent they're using now, and it's sad to say. They really need the power of nostalgia to help float their boat. Wrestlers like McCool, Mickie James, Trish, and Lita for the Women, and for the Men I would be asking for the impossible or nothing with wrestlers like The Rock or John Cena with the addition of ANYONE else who still has it. They need ALL the help they can get right now.

There's a great storyline to be done there. Back in the 90s there was a mass exodus from WWF to WCW, when Hogan, Savage, Hall, Nash and later Bret Hart and whole bunch more went to WCW. After WCW fell there was a conspiracy theory that they were all sent to WCW by Vince McMahon to bring WCW down from the inside. AEW could use this with Shane. Shane shows up and reveals that the conspiracy theory was true and now history is about to repeat itself. He forms a faction made up of former WWE guys and from there, there is paranoia and chaos. Nobody knows whose going to be next to turn on AEW.
