Jim's and Brian's take on this is certainly the correct one. How many years now have the old timers been saying today's wrestlers don't stand up for their characters, pitch ideas, or stand their ground? Yet when people do, they're called unprofessional because of false equivalencies to Hollywood actors.
@segagenesis7708

Right. Jim even admitted that this wouldn’t have flown with the Midnight Express. I can’t think of one top star from the 90s boom who would have went along with this. Not even Taker.

More talent should stick it to Vince, like Sasha has done. Enough is enough. Step away you senile and take every single stooge with you, from bucky beaver 🦫 kevin fckin dunn to the perverted johnny ace. Go away with everyone else that makes WWE a toxic working environment!!!

The irony being that Sasha was a Hollywood star now with Star Wars, and she doesn't need WWE to succeed, she's done it. She literally came back for her love of the business and Vince has gone ahead and ruined that. I'm with Sasha, keep giving the old man hell.

I think people forgot that CM Punk did the same thing, he left, and never came back. They can suspend you, fine you, extended your contract etc, but nobody can force you to go back if you not happy. It’s that simple. They left, they said screw you and your ideas, you either agree with them or not, but don’t matter really, it’s their lives/jobs, not ours

Yep. Banks suggested that if this is the route they were going, at least have friction between them and Doudrop/Nikki, leading to the latter costing Naomi her match against Belair. That would have led to a longer program for the tag titles between the two teams. The WWE wanted Belair to win clean to look strong and didn’t care at all about the tag division.

IN MY OPINION. This is a bad look for Naomi & Sasha professionally. This is the 2nd time for Sasha doing something like this. First she asked for her release because she was unhappy & was given time off to get herself together. This time she actually walked off from a live tv taping & Naomi joined her. I’m sure going forward when they both come back Vince will have doubt if he can trust them to show up an perform. And what does that show other potential promotions if they’re unhappy and aren’t getting the push or programs they feel they should have they’ll just walk out. Usually I would say if you signed a contract you should honor that contract until it expires, but wwe has shown over & over they don’t honor the contracts and release talent whenever they need to make “budget cuts”
