Edit: in fact, it seems like the rules have gotten more RELAXED compared to the beginning. I just noticed that Lex Luger isn’t ANYWHERE in the 1992 500, despite being the reigning WCW Champ for most of the period! He had like 80 matches, but only 9 were televised and only 6 were singles (which WERENT all in different months), so by the sounds of it the rules were there from the beginning but with the extra caveat of not including house shows.
