RDJ is a really good actor with lots of range unlike the Rock. I’m not sure how old you are but RDJ went to prison back in the 90s. He had to leave Ally McBeal and report *to prison* that is what a mess his life was. RDJ was only able to have a comeback because he was a good guy and he sincerely was ready to get better. People in the industry liked him. I think Mel Gibson helped him get insured when no one else would take a chance on him. If you’re showing up really late like the Rock has been and peeing in bottles/making PAs touch that and making excuses for yourself instead of being accountable, I’m not sure you end up with the same level of goodwill RDJ had. Tom Cruise is known for being super professional on sets, always treating actresses respectfully etc. He may be in a ‘cult’ but it doesn’t negatively impact his job performance. If the Rock stays bankable he’ll stay working. But if he’s always late that gets expensive; if he’s not going to the bathroom before coming to set and peeing in bottles that is weird. He seems to be burning some good will and if he’s not bankable anymore that will hurt him.

I wonder how vetted that GQ reporter was by Rock's stooge committee for this piece. Any interview with Rock that isn't a junket or red carpet feels very controlled. Dude is afraid of having a free flowing conversation. Joe Rogan had like a 3 hour conversation with Rock on the podcast and it was a nothing happening interview. Half the time Rock was interviewing Rogan.

Many people don't realize that The Rock's ex brother in law (his manager/ex wife's brother & who also works in The Rock's production company) had co wrote Red One. Which probably explains why The Rock stars in the movie. And The Rock probably knew what he was doing by having Red One released in theaters the same month as Moana 2. Which means more money for him. But if (and since) Red One flopped. He now has Moana 2 as a back up. Which is bound to be a success. But with that being said. So many people are delusional to The Rock. He's not a great actor. He has no critical acclaimed films. No Oscars or Oscar nominations. No iconic or legendary films. His films success comes from his popularity as a famous person. Or him doing franchise movies such as Fast & Furious or Jumanji. And now he's doing a biopic so he can be taken seriously as an actor. On set photos or a trailer won't convince me. I'll wait till the reviews comes out.

Brian won’t ever make me turn against the peoples champ 😂 The Rock has given back to wrestling fans and the business more than most legends have if we are being honest. He’s put over Austin, Hulk Hogan (by changing to the match at Wrestlemania 18), Brock Lesner, Goldberg and Cena.. he even put over Evolution in a tag match at Wrestlemania.. He’s helped get guys over like Shan Helms, Eugene, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and Damion Sandow, Dolph Ziggler, Randy Orton, Johnathan Coachmen, The Wyatt’s at wrestlemania, The Sheild, Christian, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero.. as a 90s kid and wrestling fan I just can’t hate on The Rock 😂

And last year whether or not you think the Wrestlemania stuff was a power play, he was the primary reason Cody went over to mega face levels. It was by far the closest thing we’ve seen to Austin vs McMahon. Not just because of what happened around the royal rumble time period but in being such an effective foil for Cody, and being the first legend of his stature to turn heel without hesitation. I will never turn on him either.

Cool. Which ticket is he going to run on? The "woke" Democrats that he hates, because they know he's as legit as a three-dollar bill and as honest as a crackwhore. Or the white nationalist race warriors who wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire. Has he received his own personal text message, that Trump commands him to report to the nearest plantation for cotton picking duties, from those fine MAGA folks yet?

I legit never bothered to search what Brian looks like. The only way I'll watch Red One is when it ends up on streaming or telly. I'm happy to wait for Sonic 3 next month.

Oh my god, the article really did say "three mighty fingers". Fuck that guy. Fuck Dwayne Johnson, but especially fuck that writer for stringing together so many sentences of such pontificating pomposity that the English language itself has been devalued.

Let’s be honest: The Rock is really good at playing the Rock, but almost 30 years of doing it in every media possible has gotten on everyone’s nerves. Same for Hogan. Same for Flair.

Brian is SO full of hate for The Rock... I swear he took his girl or something. He talks about RED ONE getting bad reviews BUT he doesn't mention how it was CRITICS trashing it but audiences (as in regular folks like you and I) LOVED IT.

I know quite a few people in the movie industry who have interacted with Dwayne off camera, and have never heard one person say he was an asshole. He does seem like a genuine nice guy. Now that’s not to say the guy doesn’t have an ego, I think that part is clear. He does. I won’t argue that. I just wouldn’t go as far as to say he’s an “asshole” and “fake” for the cameras. That does really seem like him from everything I’ve heard.
