the card they are talking about at 18:00; that being in Pueblo in October, it would have been during the Colorado State Fair and would likely have had a lot of people show up for it.

That makes sense. I forgot how pro wrestling was a big deal for a lot of state fairs.

This is IMPRESSIVE!!!! And just think…20 yrs from now it would go something like this: Bryan: Lee Moriarty vs. Pockets….A 6 man tag between The Cukamunga Kids and Kenny Olivier vs. Plumber Mox Wheeler Useless and Claudio Castcannoli…..Red Velvet vs. W. Morresey….tv title vs. tv title…Ric Flair vs. Bob Orton, Jr……and for the world title….Leo Rush defends against Satnum Singh Corny: Oh that’s easy…that was AEW’s last Dynamite show before Vince bought em out…..Fargo, North Dakota….2027

From that Calgary card, Tom Stanton occasionally worked as a jobber on WWWF TV in the late '70s and early '80s. He probably worked for a lot of different promotions in that manner. Re the Boston card: the likely reason Morales didn't defend the WWWF title on that card was he was probably booked in Hawaii at the HIC Center for Ed Francis that night.
@JimmyHeartburn Жыл бұрын
He wrestled as ET Stanton and Elton Stanton in Vancouver in the 80’s too.
@ernestcruz63165 ай бұрын
One possible reason Shane and Brisco were booked on that Boston show was Championship Wrestling from Florida aired on TV in the Boston TV market on WMUR-TV, Channel 9 from New Hampshire. Fans who lived in Boston and Northeastern MA would've seen them on that show. Channel 9 switched over to WWWF Championship Wrestling in the spring of 1973.

I think about what was said by Jim before they played Guess The Program which bothers me. Brian says "So you enjoy it as much as the listeners enjoy it". Then Jim says "I don't care about them. I just want to have fun talking to you and that's the only time I do". I hate to think that Jim has developed a low opinion about us, the listeners. Or it could be that he was having a bad day because I heard the opening of the program when Brian was talking about the spring weather and all and Jim kinda started blasting off a bit about the weather and the pollen. I hope it was just him having a bad day and not what he might think of us. I enjoy listening to him and would hate to quit.
