I love how Soupy Sales said hello to Kermit. It just goes to show how real the Muppets are to people. I said it before, and I'll say it a million times. Jim Henson was a genius.

Thank you for this rare and incredible video! Jim was an extraordinary man and ahead of his time. Too bad it was so short. Men Don’t look after themselves when they’re so busy all the time. He cared more about others than himself!

My mom was on this show in 1974, and I trying to get a copy of the episode. I believe she was with Jim Henson and Joyce Bruthers

It was smart of Jim to do completely different voices for Kermit, as the regular Kermit voice would be too recognizible and give it away.

But it is awfully startling to hear Kermit speak with a voice other than the one that millions of people are familiar with.

Someone wrote a script for a biopic several years ago, and some of it was leaked online, but it was quite disrespectful and made Jim seem like he was losing his sanity near the end of his life and hallucinating about the Muppets coming to life and haunting him. There was fan backlash, so the project was shot down.

I don't know if you came across it, but a KZbin channel called Defunctland did a 4-part series on Jim Henson. It was VERY well done.
