I hate when people talk about steph as if he's only an all time great shooter. How about his shot creating ability, finishing inside (which is SO underrated, after kyrie he's the best guard in the league imo) handling, passing, unselfishness that makes everyone around him better and this team's success possible, its like they don't watch the games (plus he played the best defense of his career this series and got no credit). It's ridiculous, a guy who's just a shooter doesn't win 2 MVPs and isn't the best player on a 73-9 team and a 67-15 championship team, come on

Shadowxdemon1 Curry played great defense this series. You can't stop every shot but Curry kept up with so many players, mainly James Harden, who shot inefficiently when guarded by him, and he was still able to find his offense. Just to say how tiring that can be, he ran 1.44 miles on the court during game 5 or 6 alone.

Last time I checked Chris Paul was playing in game 3 when the Rockets lost by 41 points... So maybe it's we cannot just say that the Rockets would have win wihout him getting injured. Plus, Houston won in games 4 and 5 just when Igguodala got injured. So maybe with both team with a healthy roster the series wouldn't even reach game 7...

@havanya36 жыл бұрын
best comment on thread Nil Samar. Houston this entire year regular season and including playoffs have beaten the Warriors only once when Iggy plays. That was the Rockets blowout win in game 2 of playoffs. Warriors were 3-1 this year in [ regular season & playoff ] against Rockets when Iggy played before the final two games of this series. its no coincidence that CP3 & Harden attacked the position aggressively of who substituted for the injured Iguodala this series.
@shohokuslamdunk6 жыл бұрын
Dubs lost by 22 in game 2 not 27. In fact dubs cut Houston's lead down to 11 pts with 7 min left in the game and Rockets went on a run and made a bunch of 3's. Game 3 Rockets got destroyed by 41. CP3 played in both game 4 and 5 and the rockets only won by 4 pts each game and that's without Iggy. Kerr is right in saying that there would be no game 6 if Iggy played.

Thank lord there’s actually athletes on the show talking and not these “spectators.” The Warriors are not going to win every game by 40pts. That’s a ridiculous expectation. They been to the finals for 4 straight years! Atrophy is real! Because they had a difficult series against a very good team, they’re not up there with the other great teams now??? Did those late great teams NEVER struggle? They are ridiculous. Please just let the athletes talk from now on, because they know what’s actually happening and how difficult it is. Not this guy that changes is opinion every other day, and a fat guy with a fedora talking about wanting to see more resistance against the warriors. How about wanting more resistance against picking up a Twinkie!
@JayTheRealest16 жыл бұрын
These playoffs somewhat exposed Harden, for me personally. His game relies heavily on foul calls, and when he doesn't get them he just cries to the refs. Usually he just attempts a step back 3 pointer (which is always slow & telegraphed) or does a weak drive into the lane in hopes of getting a foul. He never seems to have that "dog" in him during the playoffs.

All analysts should be former players. The two non players obviously don’t know what they are talking about. They can stick to just reporting facts but should not give opinions about how the game is played.

Harden ain't got time to shake hands. Gotta get ready to hit the club and make it rain like last year. They right about D'antoni though. He's okay in the regular season but can't count on him to get you over the top.

No surprise the two guys who actually played the game have the proper perspective here. Cowherd and Whitlock talking a bunch of nonsense. Thank goodness Terry and Jackson were on the panel to set them straight.

Western Conference Starting Guards: Curry, Thompson, Harden, CP3 Eastern Conference Starting Guards: Hill, Smith, Rozier, Brown That's a lot of All-Star talent on one side and zero on the other.

I don't understand how y'all can expect this much out of James. He even choked when he got to the finals with OKC in 2012, and most ppl will say Westbrook and Durant showed up in that series.

Exactly I don’t see anyone talking about how Golden State held this Rockets team under 100 point 5 times they scored 80+ twice
@TAHJ19876 жыл бұрын
this is the first time I can agree with most the backsliding comments that I've seen on here about colin...dude just said about 2 weeks ago... that Golden state is a dynasty a great team not a good team... they move the ball it's beautiful and all this other praise.. now he like they not that good😳...everybody talking down on golden state but nobody gives them credit.. I got pushed to game 7 from the team with the best record in the league with the MVP... I mean I could see if the Memphis grizzlies took them to 7...im Lakers fan but I respect talent.. give them boys they props
@Jambit25506 жыл бұрын
I’m ngl, I don’t think Golden State calculated that the rockets were gonna actually play defense. As a matter of fact not even the Rockets calculated that they were gonna play any defense. Pick and rolls and lay ups would’ve beat that GS team but the rockets were too focused on bricking all night.
@novacounciloutsdrs47706 жыл бұрын
if anything my respect for James Harden has grown. I hope CP3 learned how important it is to stay healthy, get better soon. The Rockets looked fantastic, haven't been excited about them since Tmac & Yao Ming.

Everybody has forgotten the Rockets lost against the Warriors, one of the best teams in history, and took them too 7 games. No other team has done that, so they have a good team and system.

Why is it a mark against GSW because Rockets missed so many shots? That’s a ridiculous argument. Rockets failed to adjust what wasn’t working. Warriors forced them to take lesser percentage 3’s and they couldn’t adjust to play a mid range game without CP3.

Nobody mentioned Iggy has been out since game 3, when Warriors destroyed Rockets by 40 with Chris Paul on the floor! When Iggy was defending Harden and CP3, they were combine 2 for 30 or something like that. If Iggy wasn’t hurt, series should’ve been over in 5 games.

Let's reflect. Who is better? Kyrie or CP Love or Capela JR or Gordon Korver or PJ Tucker Richard Jeff or Trevor Ariza Tristan or Nene Frye or Gerald Green And yet... One of the greatest players of all time was gently swept by this GSW last year, 4 1... And didn't get the blame that Harden is taking for losing 4 3. And the little Credit given to Houston goes to CP. Who had almost zero points in the crucial game 4's halftime. Obviously we all remember what The all time little guard did in the other half. The Beard carried this team for an entire season with the respectable support of the great CP. They were defeated but they should keep their heads up. They need another star to really compete for the trophy.
@bigdog95076 жыл бұрын
Harden carrying his team through the regular season, especially when you include that CP3 was out significant time is what most likely would get him MVP. But Harden didn't play well enough in the last 2 games to make you say he ain't have enough help especially when they were up double digits in halftime both times. In the finals last year Lebron at least stat padded enough to have a triple double and was efficient enough to get you 30 + on .50% shooting.

Trivia for you from a bitter Warriors fan who suffered through years of misery. In 1999 the Warriors traded the 10th pick (Jason Terry) for a player and the 21st pick. Name that player. Hint: He has the same name as a certain pizza delivery boy from Do the Right Thing.

He‘s got a point, putting up Stats is one thing, winning big moments is another. But admit it, CP3 and Harden made this team very interesting. Imagine if they did this when CP was much younger. They could use a younger SF and bench though. Capella still legit.

also this argument that colin has made is stupid im a laker fan and i know the history of how we had some bad slips along the way if kareem never did what he did in 85 he would be thought of even less yet he is now barely a 3-5 GOAT player kobe lost to the 08 celtic adjusted and won the next 2 magics choke job just say it you dont like them and and are taking away things from them

Erik Lerström But to their credit If we praise lebron for staying healthy Why can't we praise them for it too So now its lucky that cp3 was hurt He gets hurt all the time What do the gsw have to with that Did he not injure himself with that play Let's be honest They work and play to stay healthy Melo has been getting hurt now all the time Guess who's fault that is Kawhi Leonard has always had problems So we gonna hold that against them So would you say MJ was lucky showtime got hurt after game 1 in which they blown them out of the building Or are you one of those MJ beat showtime Injuries are part of the game Kobe played with a bad leg against Boston and won If he lost no one would mention anything but game 7 and the loss What I have a problem is that people are picking and choosing Also I don't know what you mean by the way they were constructed The drafted 3 and developed them They signed players who were discarded from their teams Later everyone wanted to go there And love and Irving are always hurt What do you want them to do I get your point But blame the amount of games players play
